I'm sitting in my room, freaking out. I don't know what just happened.

It was after school, about three days after we had almost kissed, and Reece had offered to drive me home. But, instead of my house, he drove us to a park. He got out of his car, and ran around to my side. "I wanna show you something," he says quietly into my ear. I raise my eyebrow at him, but get out anyways. Reece grips my hand in his, tugging me along with him out of the car. He shuts the door behind us, and starts to run. He's still holding my hand, so tightly it's almost like he's scared that if he doesn't grip it enough, I'll slip away from him.

"Reece, where are we going?" I ask, a breeze rushing past us. I shiver but keep running with him.

"Just a second," he replies. Reece brings me to a large grove of trees. He pulls me in through a small little opening and my eyes are met with a large willow tree. My jaw drops. I'd never seen one so large before in my whole life- it was so beautiful. "Like it?" I nod, too enchanted to speak. Reece stares at me, smiling. "My dad brought me here when I was younger. I always called it 'The Magic Forest'."

"It sure is magic," I nod, looking at him. A large smile spreads across his face as we walk over to it. Reece leans against the trunk, sighing loudly. I stand there, staring at him blankly.

Reece pats the spot next to him, "Come sit with me." I sit down next to him, laying my head on his shoulder. Reece exhales, wrapping his arm around my waist.

"Why'd you show me this?" I whisper.

"You're my best friend, Lia," he replies. "I've been waiting for a long time to find someone to show this to- and I now you're that person." I swallow hard, feeling a blush rise to my cheek. "You wont tell anyone, will you?"

I shake my head, looking up at him. "Of course not Reece. This is your special place, and I don't wanna ruin it."

"Thank you," he says, leaning over to kiss my forehead.

I sigh, wrapping my arm around his torso. Reece sighs, laying his head on mine. "Reece?" I ask.

"Yeah Lia?"

"Why do people think you're so bad?" I question. "I mean- you know. People tell me to stay away from you, that you'll hurt me. But I can't see you ever hurting anyone."

Reece pulls away, shrugging silently. "Reece?" I ask.

"Shut your eyes," he demands sternly. I nod my head slowly, shutting my eyes. "Okay, now don't look at me with your eyes. Look at me with your heart."

I smile, laughing slightly. "So what do you see?" he questions. I pause, thinking hard.

I shrug, "I-I don't know. I guess I see you." We sit in silence for a while, until it is broken by a ruffling next to me. Soon, soft lips brush against mine.

I reach up, tangling my hands in his neat quiff, now making it messy. His arms cup my face, pulling me closer to him. There was so much passion concealed in that one kiss- so much that it made my heart nearly stop. After what must have been three minutes, we pull away, out of breath. We lean our foreheads against one another's, still gasping.

"I should... get you home," Reece says, his hands still holding my cheeks. I nod slowly, reluctantly pulling away.

Now, I'm in my bedroom- as I said- freaking out. I kissed Reece Bibby. Reece Bibby kissed me. We kissed. My best friend- my brother's worst enemy- the bad guy of the school. I kissed him.

And I liked loved it.

It's been two weeks since Reece and I kissed. We've been getting closer and closer every day, despite James' constant complaining about it. We haven't spoken about the kiss- but it's all that's been on my mind ever since. And I can tell Reece's been thinking about it a lot too. Because when we're alone sometimes, Reece's eyes always flicker from my eyes to my lips.

I want him to kiss me again. But he hasn't tried to. It's almost like, once it happened, it was almost like it didn't happen. We both acted the same as we did before the kiss- and I do but I don't like that. I like it because things aren't awkward between us. I don't like it because I want to do it again. And again. And again.

"Hey Lia," a voice says from behind me, pulling me free of my thoughts. I turn around, finding Reece standing behind me. A large smile crosses my lips as I say 'hello'. "Wanna hang out tonight?"

"Sure," I reply, taking my books from my locker. "Where are we going?"

"It's a surprise!" he replies with a smirk.

"How long will we be gone?"

"Umm... I was thinking that afterwards, we could go to my house and watch a movie or something. Play a game or something," Reecd shrugs. "So, maybe could you tell James you were staying over at Jennifer's or something?"

I smile softly. "Okay."

"See you after school then." Reece turns the other way and walks down the hallway. What does he have planned this time?
