Chapter 25

* Five Months Later *

"No! Reece! Stop!" I yelled for mercy as my boyfriend mercilessly tickled me. I rolled around on his bed, trying to swat his hands away. He giggles with me, his fingers more dangerous than daggers. "Bibby! Get your fingers away from my tummy!"

"I could put them somewhere else!" he smirks, leaning down to kiss my lips. I pushed him away, unable to stop laughing. I lay on my back, arms sprawled across my stomach to keep him from tickling me. "God your beautiful." Reece laid down next to me, resting his head on my shoulder. I kissed his forehead gently, his curls rubbing against my lips.

"Only three more days till your birthday!" I say, grinning wildly.

"Yes, then you'll be dating an older man!" he said, fixing up his shirt to look mature. I giggle, poking him in the torso. Reece's smile is wiped away. "I can't believe I'll be eighteen. Ugh! I feel so old!"

I wrap my arms around his body, rubbing his back in fake sympathy. "There, there old man! There, there!" He laughs, kissing my lips gently. "What did you wanna do on your birthday, anyways?"

"Well, my mum will be out of town for business... so I guess I'll invite you and the lads over for a little party then take you up to my bedroom and fuck you mercilessly," he shrugs, grinning like a moron.

I smile, kissing his jawline. "You have fun with that," I whisper.

"Oh trust me, I will!" he laughs. I playfully thwack him in the arm, laying back down. "Wanna go for a walk?"

"But I'm tired!" I whine.

"So?" he replies. I groan, sitting up. Reece smirks, leaning down to pick me up. He carries me out of his bedroom and down the stairs. We grab our shoes and coats and walk outside. It's early August, but suprizenly the weather is actually very cold.

"Where do you wanna go, anyways?"

"Just for a walk." Reece again shrugs, opening his front door. We walk outside being greeted by the cold winds. "Jesus!" he jumps. "It's freezing! its summer what is this!"

"You're a sissy," I say, running past him.

"Hayyy!" he whines, running alongside me. I giggle, trying to pick up speed. He does the same. We run across the street towards the park.

"You'll never catch me Batman!" I say in my best Penguin impression.

"Oh whatever!" Reece laughs. I trip over the curb and go flying through the sky. I land on my butt which really hurt. I wince, trying to get up. "Lia!" Reece yells, running after me.

"Reece! Watch out, there's-" before I can finish, Reece trips on the same bit of curb as I did and went flying. He landed about four feet away from me. I laughed, "There's a secret curb."

"No?" he says sarcastically. Reece sits up, rubbing his head.

"You okay, babe?" I ask.

He nods. "Yeah, just a little fall. No big deal."

"Are you kidding me? You were doing sixty across the sky!" Reece laughs, laying down on the pavement. I do the same, grinning at him.

"Lia?" he asks.

"Yeah?"

"The reason I wanted to go on this walk, was because I wanted to talk to you about something."

"What is it, ree?"

Reece swallows, staring at me with those gorgeous hazel brown eyes. "After my birthday, I have to... go."

My heart sinks. "What do you mean 'go'?"

Reece bites his bottom lip, like he is trying to keep tears from falling. "I love you Amelia... but I have no choice in the matter. I'm finishing senior year with my dad in Newcastle."

"W-What?" I snap straight up, looking at my boyfriend with blurred eyes. "You can't leave Reece! I need you!" Before he can say anything, I'm a mess in his arms. Tears roll down my cheeks.

"I wont be gone forever- I'll be back by next summer," he whispers. Reece kisses my forehead, making my cry even harder.

"I-I'll miss you," I sob.

"Oh baby," he mumbles. "I'll miss you too."
