As Hope Lupin-Black entered the dusty building of 12 Grimmauld Place, she couldn't help but feel nervous. Not many knew about the vacated lot, but it made her curious as to what lay around. The sign on top of the door read 'House of Black'. Both sides of the walls were covered in emerald green, giving the home the same elegance that Slytherin had.

She looked around the hall, wondering where Andromeda Tonks would be. This is where she had said to meet her in the latest letter, yet the Tonks woman was nowhere to be seen.

As Hope ventured further down the hall towards what looked to be a dining hall, a portrait to her left began to yell loudly.

"Who dares to enter the House of Black?!" yelled the blonde-haired woman from the portrait, her grey eyes staring into its identical pair on the young girl.

"Hi," Hope greeted her nervously, stepping into view. "I'm Hope Black, ma'am?"

"Black?" questioned with portrait with raised brows. "Ah, you must be the daughter of my filthy blood traitor of a son. The heir to my house?"

The Lupin-Black girl tried to force a smile as she nodded slowly. "Yes, ma'am. Though I am nothing like my father, believe me. Am I really the heir to this house? I've heard that this is where my father grew up but I've never seen it before. May I ask who you are?"

"You're telling me he never told you about me?" the portrait asked. "No one ever told you?"'

"Nothing, but I mean my father is in Azkaban," Hope shrugged. "There's no way for him to tell me anything."

The portrait eyed Hope Lupin-Black carefully, almost looking at her as if she reminded her of someone. But after a minute of silence, a smile seemed to appear on the woman's face.

"You're nothing like your father after all, but of course, that's a good thing, dear," she explained, her attitude changing completely. "You must've inherited Regulus and Narcissa's good traits, fine children they were. I'm your grandmother, Walburga Black."
