CHAPTER FIVE

❛She's missing.❜

The sound of screams filled Hope's ears, she kept looking in every direction and all she could see were cloaked wizards, blasting different spells at muggles and muggle-borns. It was when she made direct eye-contact with one of them, that she knew she was in trouble.

Hope Lupin-Black ran the fastest that she ever had, and it wasn't until she tripped on a root of a tree that she fell face first onto the cold dirt.

"Get away from me." she managed to say, grabbing her wand from her pocket. "I know a lot of spells, I'll use them--"

"You saw my face," the man replied, his face now hidden by a gold mask. "I can't let you live--"

The teenage girl jumped to her feet and raised her wand. "Get away from me, now."

More Death-Eaters began to arrive behind the masked man, and Hope just let out a shaky breath. One from behind the man spoke in a low toned voice.

"It's a teenage girl--"

"She saw my face." the guy muttered in return, and raised his wand towards the girl. "There's only one way to do this."

Terror began to show clear on Hope's pale face as she looked around, practically pleading for someone to show up and help her. "Please, I just need to go home, leave me alone--"

"Crucio!"

Hope fell to the ground in agonizing pain, and it was a pain she had never felt before. All she could do was scream out in pain as the curse was held upon her. It wasn't but thirty-seconds before she felt her eyes get heavy.

"What on earth are you doing?" she could hear an unrecognizable voice scream, but she felt her eyes get heavier as the voice finished yelling. "She is a child, take her back to the manor, now."
