When I was young, I joined a dance competition and met a chubby little boy named Soonyoung. But I didn't know his name that time.

We both reached the final round and I can say that he was one of the great performers among the 30 contestants.
Because of his chubby figure, some other kids mocked him and said he won't never be the champion because he is a fat boy. But he just laughed while saying, "Eyyy. I don't believe you. There's no rule that I can't win because I'm cute and fat. As  long as I do my best, it will be alright. KWON SOONYOUNG! FIGTHING!"

That time, I admired his positivity. I wanted to be like him: calm and confident. That's how I had my first crush.

"The interrogation testimony with that hamster dance trainer is almost finish, " Detective  Wonwoo senior reported before sitting down next to me. He is still wearing his waiter's disguise costume and I'm still wearing this mini red skirt. "Aren't you going to change?" He said while covering my legs with a jacket.

"I'll changed after I made a report with Chief."

Wonwoo senior  nodded changed his gaze.

I know this is not the right time to think of this but: Wonwoo senior looks  so hot with his waiter uniform outfit.

When he looked back at me, I quickly tend to the other side. Phew~ that was close.

"About that Hoshi," he murmured. "Is it true that you and him was in a dance competition before?"

I looked back. Chuckling,  I replied, " Yeah. When I was young, it was my dream to be a professional dancer."

"No doubt why you have the skill. Then why  did you become a detective? "  he inquired.

The bitter reason why I changed my dream from being a dancer to being detective came back to me. It made my heart feels heavy as I remembered how painful it was.

"During the final  round of the competition," I started before bowing my head and looked into my thumbs. "I was dancing with my last performance. My brother, who was my only family that time, promised me that he'll watch me dance on the stage.  However,  no matter how I looked a around, he wasn't at the crowd. I got anxious. Brother never made a promise that he won't fulfill. So I stopped from dancing and left the hall without even hearing the results. When I came to our house..."

I halted for a moment because my tears are about to fall down. I don't want Wonwio senior to see my weak  side.

"Continue, I am listening," he reassured. So again, I have the courage to resume.

"When I got home, there are police cars around our house. My brother took his life. That's  what they said. I don't believe he really did. Because before that happened,  he promised me a lot of things:  like going to amusement park and eating in a buffet restaurant  together. If he really had a plan of killing himself, then he won't make those promises. Besides, he is not someone who will give up his life just because he is tired." I clenched my fists,  followed by a sharp breathe. "I kept on insisting to the police to investigate my brother's case again, saying it wasn't  a suicide case. But they don't  believe it since I was nothing but  a kid. So I promised to myself that someday, I will be the one who will investigate my brother's injustice death. Even if he won't resurrect with this, at least it help  me to think that he didn't  left me, alone. "

Tears just fell down. I tried my best to be always strong. I said that I won't cry again because of this. But heart is indeed cunning.

Meeting that Soonyoung must be the reason for this painful memories became as fresh as yesterday.
