I walked up to his door and rang the bell. I couldn't stand in place as the wind was very strong this afternoon. A boy that looked similar to Jungkook but sightly older opened the door. At first I didn't recognize him.
"Oh hey Haneul! What a surprise, it's been a while. You're all grown up now!"
Oh wait- is that him?! Wow he's back! I can't believe I forgot Jungkook had an older brother.
"Yeah, it sure has been a while," I smiled at him, "um, is Jungkook home?"
"Yea, I'll go get him. Would you like to come in?"
"No thanks, I'll wait here."
After a minute or so Jungkook finally came out. He looked upset, and he had the right to be. He thought we all had forgotten his birthday almost a week ago. The truth was we wanted to celebrate his and Namjoon's on the same day, but they were nearly 2 weeks apart. We tried to center the dates exactly.
"Hey Jungko-"
"What do you want?"
I had prepared for this. The others knew I was the only one who could pull this off so I had to do it perfectly.
Reaching for his hands I said, "I'm sorry Kookie. You know we would never forget you're birthday. We just wanted to do something special this year. That's why it took longer than it should have. Let me make it up to you."
He thought for a second and rolled his eyes, "Fine, lead the way."
I smiled and hugged him quickly. I pulled out my phone and called Hobi as planned. He arrived not even a minute later. We got in and headed to Jin's house.
