Third Person

Mal's fitting was over and had been dying to take a cool-down stroll, Evie deciding to join her unaware that it was a cool down stroll in the first place. They ran into the boys Carlos and Jay along the way so they tagged along as well.

I should've just come alone

Mal groaned internally, oh how she wanted a sweet chill out session of some sort. Jay and Carlos talked about girls, for Jay that's an as always thing but for Carlos, it was more special than that. He had his eye on Fairy Godmothers' daughter Jane. He loved her sweetness and overall innocent nature, nothing but good in that girl. He was trying to pry information from Jay but all Jay could give him was that he needed to BE him to get girls, but Carlos doesn't want girls, he wants Jane.

As they talked Jane quickly walked up to the group for Mal, her soft blues looking at Carlos and making him freeze where he stood,

"Mal-"

Jane started but was cut off by Carlos,

"Hey Jane, I was wondering-"

Carlos trailed off, his mind and lack of confidence talking to females hindering his efforts. Mal glanced up for only a second before looking away, continuing to zone out and mentally pace in tension. Carlos had to just spit something out at this point as to not come off weird,

"Enjoy the carrot cake... that you had last night?"

Jane giggled, now Carlos and Harry aren't terribly close but when it came to ranting about Brielle, Harry always did it to Carlos since he actually supported him. Carlos's heart fluttered at the girl's light giggle, he recognized the fluttery feeling from what Harry's mentioned. Harry said he gets it mostly when he makes Brielle laugh or when she gives him unexpected jaw kisses,

"I had the pumpkin pie"

She politely answered back, Carlos stammered to answer, but his buddy had his back and grabbed him by the shoulders and came to his rescue,

"Real smooth"

He whispered to him as he dragged him away, stumbling from being starstruck by the girl. Evie quickly took his place,

"I have an opening for a fitting at 3 who wants it?"

"Me!"

Lonnie shouted, spooking Jane some in the process,

"Sorry"

She muttered with a shy smile before moving her gaze over to the grassy courtyard below, lighting up with a giddy grin as she saw one of her best friends come from one of the paths to the enchanted lake with her boyfriend having an absolute ball,

"Perfect"

Evie said as she jotted down the name in her notebook. Lonnie nudged Jane and motioned for her to look, since Mal was in her zone she was unaware of the exchange and Evie wasn't looking. Jane looked and shared Lonnies smile,

"Absolute goals"

Lonnie whispered to Jane, Jane nodded,

"I know right, look at those smiles my goodness!"

She whispered to Lonnie. Evie glanced up and turned around to see the sight right as Harry scooped Brielle up into his arms and spun her around as she laughed her heart out, Harry looking like he was in paradise. Evie warmly smiled at the couple before motioning to Lonnie to follow. Lonnie said a quick bye to Jane and headed off with Evie to plan her outfit for cotillion, leaving Mal and Jane alone,
