Kirari x Reader

Sometimes, you didn't like that Kirari was the president of the student council due to the meetings that you had to attend or someone will say something regarding it, and you don't like being the star of attention. Especially when you only want to be with Kirari, and slightly crave only her attention.

You stood on the other side of her chair, the vice-president standing on the other side silently and ominously. You faded everyone out, anxiously holding your breath, thinking of other things. Kirari knew that you had bad social anxiety, but she also didn't like it when you leave her side, and others talk about you abruptly.

She always assured that you were going to okay, she wouldn't let anyone disturb and make you umcomforbale. You watched everyone's lips move, but the words were mumbled -- somewhere far; out of reach. You heard your name among the council, and you looked up, widen eyes.

Midari looked at you, a mischievous smile. "So you do have a name."

Kirari looked up at you, smiled, and stood up from her seat. "Yes."

Midari laughed. "Really? So it really is Y/N, the lone wolf."

You breath hitched, you felt blood rush to your face. Kirari stood behind you, hugging you from behind.

"Midari don't be rude!" Yuriko exclaimed.

"I'm just indulging into a conversion, sheesh." Midari smirked.

Kirari took something from behind her chair, and Ririka eyes widen behind the mask. She slightly covered your face with a unique mask. You could feel your heavy breath echo off of it.

"Why?" Kirari asked. "She's not real."

You looked at her panicked.

Midari cocked an eyebrow. "Huh?"

"I don't need to repeat myself, do I?"

She shrugged, looking away bored. "Thought she was. . .I don't know."

"Anyway, this meeting is over." Kirari said. "Take your leave."

---

She took you away from the table, over by the aquarium, alone. You didn't understand what she meant, and it hurt; did she mean that?

Kirari creased your cheek. "Don't dwell on what I said, it was only to distract Midari away. I know you're real, and if you ever have problems you can always wear this mask until you finally decide to come out of your shell."

You smiled. "Thank you, I was just a little shocked, is all."

Kirari looked at the tank. "You sometimes have to do things, even if you don't necessarily mean it." You saw her blue-eyes. "I will always be here, I'm not going to leave you."

"Oh -- I know." You sighed. "I just really want to not join those meetings."

"I know, but you already know why you have to."

"I know," You frowned.

She kissed your temple. "I won't let them do anything to you, okay?"

"Yes," You lean against her. "I'm sorry."

"Don't be, I'm glad you're here."

You watched the tank, alone, not talking, and that's how you like it -- with Kirari and no-one else to stop you in your way.
