Chapter 4 Seriously? Part 20

We had stayed up all night trying to get Ellie out of the bathroom. She didn't know that we had read the text. She had locked herself in there and refused to come out. "Come on, Ellie! We promise we won't bring it up for the rest of the night! Just please come out" Shan pleaded, banging her fist on the door "guys, please just leave me alone for a bit" she said, her voice was muffled through the door "no. we're your friends. If you come out we'll let you do anything you want to do for the rest of the night?" I offered. Ellie slowly unlocked the door and opened it, she hadn’t been crying, she didn’t even look upset. I smile crept over her face as she shouted "MAKEOVERS!" we all groaned "hey! You said we could do anything and I want to do it so come on!" she grabbed Shan and My arms and dragged us downstairs and Abby followed.

It was about 2 in the morning, but we were all wide awake. Ellie had done all of our makeup and picked out outfits for us (not including herself). I felt like a brunette Barbie! Shan and Abby looked really nice though! I looked... okay, I guess.

Ellie didn't want us to give her one so she was just sat in her PJ's. Even though she didn't need one because she already looked nice. Then, there was a knock on the door. We all exchanged confused glances, but I still got up and went to the door. I hesitated for a second, thinking how strange this was, and then I saw the blonde hair that I loved through the glass followed with the gorgeous chocolate brown eyes that made me melt inside. I instantly opened the door and jumped into his arms "hey Ross" I smiled "hey" he smiled back, pulling away and putting his hand on my cheek and stroking it with his thumb. "You look beautiful" he breathed, I blushed "thanks... Ellie wanted to do makeovers" I explained, he looked at me a bit confused "long story" I sighed. He nodded, still a bit confused "so, why are you here so early in the morning?" I asked "oh, um, Ellie told me to. She didn't say why" he explained "she didn't mention that..." I trailed off "well I'm glad she did because you have never looked so perfect" he grinned, then he slowly started to lean in and so did I. My heart started to race. This was going to be my first kiss. Ever. Suddenly, I felt his soft lips press against mine. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer to him so I was pressed against his chest. I wrapped my arms around his neck and that quickly turned into my fingers being tangled in his messy hair. The kiss was so sweet and passionate "Kate?" I quickly pulled away, shocked and scared. I slowly looked behind Ross and saw Brad looking at us with tears in his eyes. I had never told Brad about Ross and me because he was always over protective and he had told me before that it "upset him". That was over 5 years ago, but I still didn't tell him just in case... and by the looks of it, it still upset him. "Brad, I-" I started, but he cut me off "NO! SHUT UP! I TOLD YOU THAT THIS UPSET ME!" he yelled "that was over 5 years ago Brad! How was I supposed to know you still felt that way?" I said trying to stay calm "YOU COULD HAVE ASKED" he yelled again. I suddenly felt anger burn up inside me as Brad grabbed Ross "get out" Brad growled "no. This isn't your house" Ross tried to pull away "Ross... this isn't something I want you to stick around to see" I hissed, death starring Brad, Ross nodded and walked out of the open door, closing it on the way out "Brad! THIS IS MY LIFE! I CAN DATE WHO I WANT TO DATE! YOU'RE NOT MY DAD!" I screamed at him, then Shan, Abby and Ellie came running over to the doorway "Brad, leave. Now" Shan hissed "no!" he hissed back "Ross makes me happy. He would never hurt me. Why are you overreacting SO much?" I asked, tears stinging the back of my eyes "because..." he trailed off, he looked sad for a split second, but then he became angry again "do you know what? I don't need this! Bye forever" he turned around, opened the door, walked out, and slammed it. "No, Brad! Wait!" I called, I tried to follow him but Abby and Ellie grabbed my arms. "I'm going to kill him" Shan growled, but she then turned to me with a sympathetic look on her face "what just happened?" she asked, I shook my head with tears running down my cheeks. Abby hugged me from the side and I just stood there, frozen. "I'm sorry. Can we just carry on with the night? This is tomorrow’s problem" I sighed, wiping away my tears. Ellie nodded then started to jump up and down "get your butts on the sofa! I'll get the Ben and Jerry's, you guys pick the movie!" she ran off and we did as she said. We picked the film "The fault in our stars" and watched it while eating ice cream. Soon enough, we fell asleep, but all I could think about was Brad. Did he really mean that? Bye forever...
