It took you nearly a month to recover enough to be released from the hospital. Sasha never left you side as she decided to stay with you. You often insisted that you were fine on your own but she still didn't make an attempt to join the others.
"So now that you're free, we could surprise everyone? They still don't know that you were being released."
"I'd love to but I need to do something first?"
"What do you need to do?"
"I need to talk to Gabi. I can't imagine how she's feeling after what happened."
"The kid is fine. You can wait to talk to her another day. Who knows when our friends will have another day off to properly celebrate your release."
"Sasha, you're making it seem like I was in jail. I saw them a couple of days ago. The celebration can wait."
With a sigh, Sasha nods and helps you make your way over to were Gabi had been staying. While she had promised that neither of them had hurt Gabi, they still had kept her in a cell.
"Please tell me that the poor girl hasn't been down here since we arrived back."
"......look. I almost lost you. A few weeks in the cell might even help her. She's an angry little girl. She hates us with a passion."
The two of you finally arrive at her cell to find her wide awake and looking up at the ceiling.
"You must be Gabi."
Hearing her name, Gabi looks to see who had said it.
"You're the one I shot. You're okay?! You're okay!"
Gabi had been riddled with guilt as soon as she took the shoot. She had never shot anyone that close so she hadn't seen the effects of what happened when she killed someone.
"I'm okay. I just came her to tell you that I don't blame you for what happened. You were only doing what they had ordered you to. It was either me or your life. Luckily for you, we both get to live."
"You're not angry with me?"
You laugh, giving her a small smile.
"No. I'm not mad. How can I be mad at someone who clearly regrets what they had done. I believe in second chances."
"But you almost died! How can you not be mad?!"
You turn to the guard, telling him to open the cell. He's hesitant to do so but does as you tell him. You make your way inside, taking a seat besides her. Sasha stays outside, keeping a close eye on the girl.
"The world isn't black or white. You deserve a second chance, Gabi. What do you say?"
Gabi looks between you and Sasha, unsure of what to say. You were being so kind to her.
"I'd like to earn that second chance."

You and Sasha watched from afar as Gabi tended to the horses. It's been a few days since you had taken her out of the cell to fulfill your promise in giving her a second chance. It was clear that she was struggling with her new life but she was clearly trying.
"You're too forgiving, you know that."
You wrap your arm around Sasha's shoulders to pull her closer to you.
"Someone once thought me that people deserve second chances."
She lets her head rest against yours, letting out a sigh of content.
"Yeah? Who was that someone?"
"I think you might know them. She hunts, has the best jokes around, inhales any food that could be around her, overall amazing and beautiful too."
"Really?" A smile forms as she hears your description. "I think I might know who it is then."
Turning to face you, she presses a soft kiss against your lips.
"I love you Sasha Blouse."
"and I love you, (y/n) Blouse."
"I don't recall agreeing to change my last name to yours."
"It's a given. Your name sounds better with my last name."
"I don't know. I think Sasha (last name) has a better ring to it."
"I think you're right. I can't wait to be Sasha (last name) then."
