Chapter 16

Tonight was Leo's birthday and they were planning a surprise. This was also a perfect excuse for Vincent to get to know Andy's brother and vice versa.

Back at the house, Andy was decorating the tables out back when she looked up to see Austin coming into kitchen.

Austin spotted her outside right away and smirked at her, but she ignored him.

"So where did you send Leo to?"

"Vincent took him golfing."

"What is he doing with him?"

"They're getting to know each other; I think it was a great idea."

"Unbelievable, you're supposed to be on my side by the way."

"I would have if you didn't screw everything up."

"It's not like I wanted it to end up like this."

"Well it did, so let it go."

"I'm going to go help her."

"She's fine and I really need you to bring me some ice, think you can handle that?"

Austin glared at her and left.

Andy sighed when he saw him walk away and Vivian come out.

"That was a close one."

Andy nodded as Austin's wife came out.

"Do you need any help?"

Andy being the nice girl said okay.

"Hi, I'm Andy."

"Oh, you're Andy."

Andy looked at Vivian wondering what that meant.

"Yeah, Leo's sister and you must be Austin's wife?"

"Mora, nice to meet you."

Mora was about to ask Andy how she knew her husband, but it was then that her phone rang.

"Excuse me."

Stepping away as far as she could from the music and answered.

"Hi."

"Hello gorgeous, we're leaving now."

"Okay, good, everyone is pretty much here."

"Including Austin?"

"Yes and his wife, very pretty lady I have to say."

"I bet not as pretty as you."

Andy giggled.

"So how did it go?"

"Great, you have a pretty cool brother. We have a lot in common; I think you and I are just meant to be baby girl."

"Maybe and I'm glad you two got along, I was worried."

"Why?"

"Well you're a doctor and you can be intimidating sometimes."

"I am not!"

"Ahh yeah you are smarty pants."

"You're just as smart as me and besides your brother knows more about ranching than I will ever know."

"True."

"By the way he invited us to go check it out."

"Really, well did he also tell you that it's Austin's ranch?"

"So, who cares, unless you care?"

"Of course not. We'll go if you want."

"I want."
