Logan sighed as his best friend, Roman, ranted on about romance. The princely boy had been trying to convince Logan that he needed a romantic partner ASAP, for a reason unknown to the nerdy boy. They'd just finished their tennis game at the country club and were now heading to the locker rooms so they could go to the pool.

"You need love at first sight, a meet-cute. Every good love story begins at the age of 16 or any of your teenage years, really." Logan scoffed. "Romantic attraction can grow at any age; age has nothing to do with the relationship's success. Besides, right now, I should be focusing on school and my last few years as a child before I'm thrown into a system in which taxes will be the bane of my existence, and I'll be idly waiting to meet my demise."

"And I thought Virgil was dark..." Roman mumbled; Logan sighed. "I'm just saying that I shouldn't be actively seeking out a relationship right now-" "Watch out!" Logan turned around right as someone pushed him to the ground. "Woah, sorry, tennis dude! I told you to watch out!" Logan winced. "It's difficult to react in time when there's barely any time to do so."

"Seriously, Remus?! Mom and Dad told you to stop skating here; there's a whole skate park for you to do that." Logan sat up and opened his eyes. A hand appeared in front of his face, which Logan took gratefully. "Again, I'm sorry, but you really should've moved-" "Remus!" Roman shouted at the boy, who just rolled his eyes.

Logan scanned the boy up and down; the boy was wearing Vans, ripped skinny jeans, a green graphic tee, and a grey short-sleeve button-up. Freckles and band-aids littered the boy's body, showing just how reckless the boy could be, despite Logan having never met him before. Roman had never introduced Logan to his family because it'd never really come up. But Logan could tell Roman made it a point to keep Remus as far away from Logan as possible, even in school.

"Anyways, I have somewhere to be." Roman squinted at his twin. "Please tell me you aren't going to do something illegal with Janus." Remus chuckled. "Not that I know of, but the day's still young; never say never. I'll see you later, Romano. And I will see you, my dear Juliet, as soon as Roman stops trying to keep us apart." Logan blushed as Remus winked. The skater boy grinned and skated off to somewhere else in the country club.
