Betrayal

Misconceptions about men abound,

Spread by the devious,

That has led many a man aground.

Wantonly we are misled astray,

By copious flaunting of flesh,

That lead us all to betray.

The strong all too soon falter,

By usage of truthful lies,

And a little slip of halter.

Led awry by layers of false beauty,

The sirens cast their spells,

To enrapture and capture, their only duty.

Hunters we claim to be,

Yet our prey stalk us,

Allowing us access for free.

A picture painted in shades of black,

Of man's ineptness to loyalty,

As our facades slowly begin to crack.

Slowly we drown by our actions,

And the ultimate betrayal,

By Adams first attractions.

Eyes and brain are one in communion,

Flesh and desire walking hand in hand,

As we give ourselves to lustful union!
