Your name is written on my arms,
Where it should be on my lips.
First you love me, then you don't,
Repeating the joy, then the pain!
I do not wish to die,
Yet...
Yet, you plunge me into murky depths,
Depths that blacken my mind,
Contort my soul in agony!
My release is but short,
As lines of red I carve,
That lies superficially at the top.
I smile, yet the pain lingers in my eyes,
Shuttered when need be,
So your face I need not see.
But...
But tonight, you have stepped on me,
Mangled me beyond saving.
***
Relaxed, I lie in the bath,
Enveloped in warm embrace.
Calm shallow breathing,
Passively observe the flowing river,
Crimson slick upon the surface,
Spreads away from me.
No more a toy for amusement,
I have brought an end to an end.
Mull the cutting once more over,
View the blade as it hungering bite,
Snaked up my scarred arms.
Funny...I have no regret...
Silently I watch as darkness overwhelms me.
