Once upon a time,

Filled with youthful zest,

Heart fully ready to climb

And love to quest!

...

When feelings were adolescent,

Naive and overtly clumsy.

All woman were heaven sent,

To drive all men crazy!

...

Yet in them lies do dwell,

Portend eventual, of them, mistrust,

For them, we do ourselves sell,

Because of temptations lust!

...

Claim to want caring beau's,

Who treat them as a goddess.

Who lead them to the end of rainbows,

Yet they settle for much less!

...

Blasphemous claims of character,

Only good looks desired,

True lies from a master,

In this fallacy we are mired!

...

Broken and discarded numerously,

One true truth learnt,

At a price paid dearly,

The sexes, are not that different!
