Past, present, future

My past has been set,

Determined by my actions,

Frozen solid in time,

Like a glazier of ice.

No more can I go back,

Never change what has been.

You can see clearly my deeds therein,

Leading to my present.

...

My present flows, smoothly,

Any tributary I can follow,

Ignore my past written in ice,

Or forge ahead in a new direction.

Eventually when into the future,

My present will be set in the past,

While future flows into the present,

But might I have left a smaller berg?

...

My future heated up rising, steaming,

Not yet flowing, far from frozen,

Waiting for the cooling of the now,

So as to flow into the solid of the then.

My future knows what it wants to be,

In the here and now,

But does not know,

From which glacier it melted from.

What external factors will change my state?

...

Eventually the past will melt,

Forgotten, drowned in the present,

Leaving behind no reminders,

While the present will go up in vapours,

Not knowing its past.
