Death

Pungent smell of decay,

Permeates, penetrates the airway.

Every moment a fear,

We will lose those most dear.

Slow decline before the lapse,

Or a swift collapse,

Times sand expires,

Whether kings or squires.

The burden of life,

Is not worn without strife.

Our lives, always on a edge,

With Death behind every hedge.

Cautious or daring,

Death knows no caring.

Moments long forgotten past,

Return in flashes so fast.

Here and in the flesh,

Part of life's intricate mesh,

Vacant corpus but a husk,

Funerals serve as a busk.

Discontinuation of existence,

We are but a pestilence.

Nature wars against humanity,

Neither gives quarter constantly.

Reap what is made,

As the earth does fade.

Actions with consequences ignored.

Man's ultimate death cannot be deplored!

Slowly we rape, pillage the mother,

Knowingly unlike any other.

We eagerly with greed,

Sow our own death seed!

The earth shall eventually release,

A horrid fate for man with ease.

Our actions cannot be forgot,

Destructive fate shall be our lot.
