Pure exhilarating pleasure,

Each bite exquisitely, tantalisingly exotic.

The rush, as each fruit,

Released, its innermost secret,

To explode in jubilation upon the tongue.

Adam languished in ecstatic bliss,

As Eve shared his overpowering feast.

Eyes half closed, they consumed the nectar,

Of God's finest creations.

Adam pausesd and stared in disbelief,

Shocked at what Eve had to offer,

No, he slowly uttered, while popping a grape,

God said no, we will surely die.

Hands on hips Eve pouted sexily,

She exclaimed she had tried it all before,

She needed to try something new.

She took a bite, so slowly, alluringly so,

Adam could not help but start to crumble.

See she said seductively, I am still alive.

Eagerly Adam followed suit,

Forgotten was God's warning.

All to soon they supped off another forbidden fruit,

Enjoyed the carnal, base desires of the flesh.

All spent, they laid in the bush,

Cuddling, tasting each other.

When God's voice called to them...

They hid, afraid, naked, like naughty children.

God stood before them,

Cloaked in sadness,  he knew what he had to do.

Of them he requested why?

So was the first lie born,

Adam blamed Eve, she made him do it,

Aghast, Eve glowered, but not to be undone,

She created the second lie,

The serpant made me do it.

Now all knew it was not the serpant,

But Lucifer that had planted the seed,

But hey, the serpant was passing by.

Cast out from Eden, they wandered away,

Never again to partake of the perfect fruits.

Since then all tastes have paled in comparison,

or at least till Eve learned to cook.
