You squinted as the sun strung your eye, making you unable to watch the sky above.
"Seungkwan," You called out.
"Hmm. . ." Seungkwan hummed.
"I can't see anything," You complain to him.
"Why? Did you turn blind already. Aren't you a bit young to already start loosing your vision?" Seungkwan said.
You rolled your eyes as his snappy comment and said, "No. I can't see anything because of the sun."
"I told you to bring sunglasses, didn't I," Seungkwan scolded you.
The two of you were lying down a wide field full of lush green grass, facing the sky above on the prospect of bird watching. After watching a National Geographic special on birds, Seungkwan suddenly wanted to experience bird watching himself and somehow managed to convince you to come along as well.
"I can't see anything though. I know you brought extra sunglasses," You told him.
You heard Seungkwan sigh next to you but nevertheless he sat up and reached into his bag and pulled out another sunglasses from a black case. He gave it to you which you gladly excepted.
"Thank you," You told him.
Seungkwan didn't say anything and only plopped down on the grass next to you again and resumed his bird watching.
"But Seungkwan," You asked after a while.
"Yes?"
"How will we see the birds if we are wearing glasses. Won't our vision get darker?" You asked curiously.
"Our vision will only get a bit darker. Not completely black," Seungkwan told you and you slowly nod your head as you comprehended his words.
You turned your neck back towards the sky and stares at the blue, spotless sky right above. A couple of minutes of silence passed by, and you couldn't help but start wincing under the strong sunlight. This time, however, you were not wincing because of your eyes but rather how badly it was burning your skin.
Although you had put on sunscreen this morning all over your body, you couldn't help but think that you were still going to get burnt under the intense heat.
You spent all summer successfully avoiding getting sunburnt and you will not let a day of bird watching ruin it for you.
"Seungkwan,"
"What?"
"Do you have sunscreen?" You asked.
Seungkwan took in a deep breath and sat up again wordlessly, digging through his bag once again. He managed to pull out a tube on sunscreen and you took it, starting to apply it all over your face and arms.
"Sometimes I feel more like your mom then your boyfriend," Seungkwan told you as he watched you.
You gave him a pointed look and continued applying the sunscreen.
"Whatever. Just don't disturb me again," Seungkwan told you as he laid down on the grass once more.
Once you were done applying the sunscreen in the places you wanted it, you put the tube back in the bag, as quietly as you could, and laid next to Seungkwan again.
As you continued observing the sky for any birds, you started getting drowsy underneath the sun and the calmness around you wasn't helping either.
You yawned several times, fighting to keep your eyes open anymore. You wanted nothing more than to sleep right now but you knew that will probably tick Seungkwan off again.
Fighting to keep your eyelids open, you once again mustered the courage to speak up to Seungkwan again, even though he did tell you not to disturb him anymore.
"Seungkwan," You called out gently.
"What now?" Seungkwan said and you could see that he was clenching his teeth.
"I'm sleepy," You tell him.
"Then sleep," He told you, not even for once taking his gaze off the sky.
"Okay," You said then hesitated before saying, "One more thing."
"What is it?" Seungkwan asked, his patience being tested.
"Why are we bird watching for so long when there are no birds to be watched. I mean nothing, not even a single cloud, has flown by the past hour," You tell him.
"Aaahhh," Seungkwan yelled as he sat up suddenly.
"What?" You ask him, surprised by his manner.
Seungkwan whips his head towards you and said, "Why did you have to say that? Now there's nothing fun left to do. Let's just go home now."
"What? How is this my fault?" You asked.
"Because I said so," Seungkwan sassed, "Ugh everything is ruined now."
You narrowed your eyes and said, "Well I didn't want to be the person to tell you this, but for you information, you look like a grandpa right now. So you're the one who ruined things in the first place."
"You're so annoying!" Seungkwan exclaimed.
"Aww same to you," You sarcastically told him, "I am never coming bird watching with you ever again."
"Neither am I," Seungkwan aggressively said.
"Great!"
"Great!"
I was supposed to upload this yesterday but I completely forgot because I started watching TTT. Anyways its here now. I'm a bit sad because my classes are starting from tomorrow again so its back to hell. But on the bright side, at least Hao and Jun get see their families after so long.
I hope you all stay healthy and have a great day : )
