<A/N at the end my loves!>

Things are finally looking up for me. I was finally getting what I desired, what I needed. All I have to do is cut the poison out of my life, no matter what or whom it may be. David was poison to me, my mother, my past, my everything.

I now sit outside of the apartment building waiting for Liam to drive by. I'm hoping the chancellor of this college likes me, because if he doesn't I'm out of choices.

Liam drives in seconds later and I hop into the passenger seat. "This is insane Liam, thank you." I say and hug him.

"It's no problem." He says smiling. "I knew that you would think this is crazy." We both laugh in unison. "You look different." I hope he means that in a good way.

"This was how I looked before I stepped into the wrong crowd." I explain to Liam. He keeps his eyes on the road unlike Harry. "I had always made sure my hair was combed and my clothes were conservative." It was true my hair had always used to be brushed and kept tidy at all times. Now it was just a mess.

"I think you look great, like a scholar." Liam always knew how to lighten the mood, and it made the air lighter. It was relaxing and easy being around Liam.

"Thank you." We were now on a suburban road with big beautiful houses. They had looked like mansions, one that a famous author would live in. Some of the houses had green vines with flowers going up the side of the house. This was the house I dreamed of living in years ago. I would graduate and get a great job, so I could live in a house as beautiful as that. My husband would come home after a long day of work and we would both cook dinner and relax. It was the perfect daydream. Too perfect.

Liam pulls into the driveway of a luxurious house. My mouth must've been on the floor from admiring its beauty. "It's beautiful." We step out of the car and I get a better look at the house.

"Before he came along for my mum, we were living in a small house downtown. It was an awful town too. Crimes were being committed left and right. My mum started getting scared I would get influenced by the wrong people. After that we moved closer to the college, and my mum met Derek at the market." Liam informs me as he unlocks the door.

"What's his last name?" I wanted to be informed of this so I could address him formally.

"You can call him Mr. Lance. His last name makes me laugh sometimes, it's just such a weird name." Derek Lance. Mr. Derek Lance. It was interesting and different.

We walk into what looks like a main living room with a big couch and a tv. The house smells of baked sweets and I take the scent all in. It smelled like a home. "Smells amazing." I say to break the silence.

"My mum loves to bake, it was the only cheap hobby she had." I always wanted to bake I've just never learned how to master it.

"I've always wanted to learn how to bake." I say as we enter the big kitchen. It didn't look like a typical rich person kitchen. It had dark wood on the cabinets and a beautiful marble counter. There was a woman behind the counter baking away and humming a beautiful little melody.

"Hello love." The woman says and hugs Liam in her small arms. She was Liam's mum and she was beautiful. "Who's this lovely girl?" She asks and turns to face me.

"Mum this is Sarah she has an interview with Derek tonight." Liam says.

"Oh where are my manners?" She says and throws her hands up. "Hello honey, it's so nice to meet you." She was a very sweet, and happy woman.

"I'm well thank you. It smells amazing in here Mrs. Payne." I say complimenting her outstanding baking.

"Thank you dear, but please call me Karen." I've never really called any parent by their first name, but if she preferred it that way I wouldn't do it any other way.
