I was currently in the avengers compound among the other avengers and our 'new' recruit, she isn't so much as new anymore being she's been here for a few months now, but new enough.

"Sup." I say walking into the common room, immediately Kate looks my way, I smirk at her causing her to blush and smile down towards the floor.

I smirk walking in front of her, my destination going past her.

"That floor must be very interesting for you to be blushing so much Kate." It only makes her blush more.

"Y-yeah, It's uhm... it's really nice. All of the patterns... and lines, and stuff..." she says slightly coughing afterwards from her awkwardness.

I put my hand in my pocket of my power suit.

"What party are you headed to tonight?" Sam asks very amused at my outfit. I roll my eyes at him.

"Can i not dress nice for my employees?" I ask

"Employees?" Kate says confused looking towards Sam, biting her lip slightly as she tilts her head.

"Y/n runs Royalty Records down the street." Tony informs her

"No way! I love all the artists from there! Your family owns it or something?" She asks

"No... one of my friends left it to me, I was their only close friend. Their only family, they thought I would do great with it. They wrote it in their will, but never thought they'd die so quickly." I cough a bit to get rid of the tears before going back to my usual confident self.

I grab a glass of whiskey and smirk.

"Sam is just jealous."

"I am not jealous!" He yells

"He's mad because I have more style than him and I won't hook him up with my secretary." I smirk

"She is hot!" He exclaims

"Their non-binary!" I defend

"Then 'they're' hot!" He argues back only making me laugh.

"I just thought you were like a mafia cult leader person..." Kate says practically fumbling over her own words

"Really? Did it make me hotter?" I ask in a more husked voice, her eyes almost bulge out of her head as all the boys cough and readjust their pants as well as seating positions making me giggle.

"She is no cult leader person, she puts on a very good performance which is fantastic might i add." Yelena says walking out of the hallway, I roll my eyes at my best friend.

"She is a dork, doesn't know anything about being a leader."

"You're only saying that because you like me." I say with a raised eyebrow

"I do not! I have gotten over my feelings over you." Yelena says defensively.

"Y-you two... dated?"

"Yeah, only for a year." Yelena shrugs

"Why'd you break up?" Kate questions some more

"Oh well, Yelena figured out she is actually an a-romantic and a-sexual. Which is totally good for me because I didn't want to lose my best friend." I say shrugging sitting on the arm of Yelena's seat.
