Have your fun, comment however you'd like, just a PSA; Schizophrenia is not a mental illness to be joked about, especially if you know nothing of the illness. I have two uncles — one passed, who have suffered from it and it is no joke.

My dad also had an aunt who suffered from it as well.

I am writing this chapter to bring awareness as well as bring some light to you if you are suffering from any mental illness. I see you, you are one of a kind, and I, as well as others who comment are here for you, my love.

Now on with the story. Enjoy!
— credit to the writer who inspired this story, you are truly magnificent.

[Third Person...]

"Hello, y/n." The voice came before the body, at first you looked around and seen no one, until you turned back around and seen Camz. Short for Cameron, that was what he liked to be referred to as.

You rolled your eyes and continued walking, pretending no one was there, which in fact there was no one.

"Lovely day today, isn't it? Oh wait, you haven't seen it yet, my bad." He chuckled at his own joke.

"I forgot, we were doing the whole the whole world doesn't exist thing." He said with a slight smile. Cameron wasn't a bad visual, good looking— brown hair, brown eyes, clean face type of dude.

His made up personality was also very kind, and charismatic as well as humorous. Definitely, a Styles type of personality, side character. The best friend, if he existed.

You walked into the compound kitchen looking through the fridge for a drink as everyone sat around doing little tasks of their own, or chatting amongst each other. You were new to the team, and figured it to be quite quiet on your side of the conversation when you would make conversation with any of them.

"Have we decided who we want to get it on with? Ah? Oh! How about Natasha, yeah she's a good one. Not so bad on the eyes, don't ya think?" Cam said leaning against the counter beside the fridge, you glanced over at him before looking over to Natasha who was in a conversation with Clint. She quickly felt your gaze on her, and turned her head, she smiled genuinely before waving over to you. You quickly averted your gaze.

"Out of my league, Cam." You grumbled under your breath before taking a bottle of water from the fridge and closing the doors, you jumped seeing Natasha was standing right beside it after you shut the door.

"Hey, how's training been going?" She asked with a flirtatious smile.

"Obviously, she doesn't think so." Cam smirked, it took everything in your not to roll your eyes or even glare at him.

"Good..." was all your mustered up.

Nat's flirtatious smile quickly turned into an awkward tight lipped smile.

"Need any help with any of it?" She offered, you thought about it before shaking your head.

"I'm fine, I-" before you could say anything else, Cam was behind Natasha making kissing faces.

"Uh..." you say distracted. Nat looked behind herself seeing no one there.

She scrunched up her eyebrows.

"Is there something behind me?" She asked curiously, your attention was still else where until you drew it back to her stammering as you tried to cover it up.

"Uh- n-no. No. There's nothing behind you... I have to go." You say running off to your room, with of course, Cam in toll.

"God! Can you be any more of a loser! Dude, she was hot, and in to you! You seriously couldn't think of anything else to say to keep the conver-" Cam stopped himself from speaking even more as he noticed you stopped walking.

"What are you-" he stopped himself again, seeing what had grabbed your attention. Wanda. She was currently sitting on her bed cross legged reading a book as Pietro sat on her desk chair tossing a ball up into the air bored.

"Ah... i see. Wrong red head, huh?" You looked at him

"Yeah, I kind of have a thing for the Maximoff twins too." Cam sighed, you looked at him confused, he only smirked before replying.

"What? Can you blame me? That super speed can be used for something else, if you know what I mean." He bumped your shoulder, this time you couldn't help but roll your eyes before heading directly to your room where you closed and locked the door.

"Gah! Finally! Your back, you know, this idiot has been harassing me since you left, can you please tell him to shut the fuck up!" A female voice, Kaz, says. Average height, black hair, green eyes, and olive skin. Another... person.

"Y/n can you tell Kaz to stop being a spaz!"

"Shut up, Arlo!" Kaz said

Arlo, dirty blonde dude, blue eyes, pretty tall, wicked smile. Each one of the people that lived within my mind, had a best friend sort of energy. Sometimes causing me to wish they were real, but they weren't good all the time.

"Can't you all shut up? Y/n needs to think! There's a lot of people in this compound and quite frankly, I'm sure a few of them are ready to hurt her." Oakley, yes. My paranoia of all the besties, she always comes in to try to make me go crazy on someone.

Oakley is short, short hair, short tempered, with flaming red hair. Very convincing on all things anger, sadness, and paranoia.

"No one is going to hurt her!" Cam said defending me

"Says you, you're always telling her things she wants to hear!" Oakley screamed back at him.

"She needs to be ready for defense! They could come through that door at any time to put her in a cell, we can't go back into a cell! Y/n! Listen to me! We can't!" Oakley screamed frantically. Your face was a bit panic'd before speaking.

"We're not, I-I'm not. This is a compound, a safe place, a refuge. We can trust them." You try to convince them, yourself.

"If we can trust them so much, why don't you ever speak to them? " Arlo comments

"Yeah! You're always stuck in your room, you don't even eat dinner with them!" Kaz freaks out

"Enough! I'm tired of listening to you guys! Don't you think if I didn't have you following my every move, commenting on my every word, that I would do anything! God! Just shut up! Shut up!" You screamed

"We need to get them before they get us, y/n! Listen to me!" Oakley yelled

"God! Just shut up!" You screamed, suddenly there was a knock and everyone except Cam dissipated.

"It's okay, Kaz and Oakley are just paranoid. Open the door." He helped you through, you opened the door to see Wanda standing there.

"Hey..." she said quietly with a slight smile, you only smiled back slightly.

"I heard noise... is everything okay in there? Are you okay?" Wanda asked

"Noise? What kind of noise?" You asked rubbing the side of your face a bit.

"J-just... nothing, never mind. You're okay though, right?" She asked, you nodded not trusting your voice.

"Okay, well... if there's anything you need, I'm here." Wanda affirmed before turning on her heel back towards her own room, you finally let out a breath you had no idea you were holding in.

"Atta' girl! Now she's hot!" Cam said excitedly

"She's out of my league, and she thinks I'm a freak who talks to herself." You sighed face planting into the bed.

"Every girl is out of your league, and she isn't wrong... you do talk to yourself, but you're not a freak. Give yourself a chance! Flirt! She's hot!" He encouraged, you only sighed before closing your eyes, not in the mood for the others to come back, although their presence were now little faint whispers in the back of your mind as Cam was always full surfaced by your side, he sat in the chair as you dozed off.

"Just leave me alone." You whispered, Cam smiled sadly.

"I wish I could... better me, than other people." He smiled sadly before allowing you to fall completely asleep.

You felt exhausted.
