Another day, another dollar.

I walk into work bright and early to set things up with Marvelle, when I hear a knock at the door. I turn around to see Wanda. We weren't open yet.

I scrunch my eyebrows walking to the door and opening it.

"Everything okay?" I ask, Marvelle barks once.

I look at her pre annoyed before looking back at Wanda.

"Yeah... I just- I wanted to catch you at a time where there wasn't many people around... this looks very stalkerish although, oh god. What am I doing? Never mind— forget it." Before She could leave i grab her hand pulling her into the coffee shop.

"No, what's up... Wanda, right?"

"Yeah- how'd you know that?" She asks

"Your friend, he said your name the other day." I clarify

"Oh right, so... I know we know nothing about each other but, I Uh—"

I just stare at her and admire at how much she looks adorable when she's stumbling over her words. All of a sudden her face goes red as she blushed uncontrollably, oh god. She is so cute, why is she so cute?

"I want to know if you want to go on a date with me?" She asks, immediately, Marvelle barks. Yes. It scared Wanda a bit, but I smile happily.

"I would love to, Marvelle agrees too."

"Really?" I nod

"Great! So I'll see you— a-and Marvelle later, say... seven?" She asks, I nod ecstatically.

"That sounds... perfect. I'll see you then." I smile widely, she does too. She nods before leaving.

"WE GOT A DATE!" I scream as Marvelle does a little dance for me.

"I got a date... I got a date." I sing and dance towards the kitchen happily.

"Who's got a date?" My friend Aaron asked popping you from the back scaring the literal life out of me.

"God, you need to make yourself known next time." I say putting my hand on my chest feeling my heart race

"Hey, it's not my fault your so scarce, now tell me. Who's got a date?" He asked excitedly as he dried off some mugs with a white towel.

"I do."

"No way! The regular?" He asked happy

I nod biting my lip out of excitement.

"Dude! That's awesome!" He exclaims

"I know!" I yell eagerly

"Now get to work." He says jokingly throwing the towel at my head. It lands on my hair and I roll my eyes taking the towel off before throwing it at Marvelle playfully.

"You heard the boy, get to work." She just barks back.

"Gosh, so lazy. Fine, I'll get to work." I tease her grabbing the towel now on the floor and heading towards the back to help clean before we actually open up the café. Although all I could think about was that redhead.
