Ship: TB Karen x Reader

Warning: this song will get stuck in your head

----

Karen sat in your house, arms crossed. Mickey had set her up to stay at your place for the winter and she was not happy about it. She glanced at you slightly, turning away as you looked back at her while you put logs in the fireplace. Part of Karen was glad you lived on the outskirts of town, towards a forest. "This winter is going to be harsh, so I ran to the store earlier to get more blankets and food." You brought Karen a blanket, it was fuzzy on one side.

Karen looked up at the blanket, carefully grabbing it and hunkering down on the couch. "Thank you." Karen mumbled, turning her head to face the tv. "You know, I bought some of your paintings off Mickey." You spoke up, gesturing to the paintings hanging above the fireplace and couch. Karen looked at them, eyes wide. "I thought they got rid of those." She whispered, looking back to you. "Why do you have them?" "Because I like them."

You brought Karen a bowl of chicken noodle soup, watching her hungrily scarf it down. You gently placed a hand on her shoulder, seeing fear in her eyes. "Slow down, I'm not going to let you starve." Her shoulders relaxed, slowing down her eating. She began to weep, not understanding your kindness. "Woah, why are you crying?" You asked gently, running your thumbs over her cheeks. "You're so nice to me!" Karen whimpered. "It's basic human kindness!" You laughed lightly, kissing her nose.

You laid a pair of comfy pajamas and undergarments next to Karen. "I want to wash your stuff. Hop into the shower and then change into this." You gently spoke, taking the bone dry bowl from Karen. "I'll get you some more food after." You smiled, seeing her smile. She grabbed the clothes and ran to the bathroom.

After showering, she dried herself off with a large towel. Karen slipped the clothes on, noticing that you took her other clothes. She looked at herself in the mirror, the pink matched the fading dye in her hair. She stepped out, her feet slipping into warm slippers. "Oh good! You're wearing the slippers!" You called out, rushing to her with a bowl of ramen. Karen took the bowl, her stomach growling loudly. She sat down and began to eat.

The end of winter came, but Karen found herself at your side all the time. She never strayed too far, wanting to be with you. You always gave her a kiss on the cheek and made sure she was happy. You even managed to cure her illness. "I think I'm sick again." Karen teased, hugging you. "Lovesickness is a serious disease." You smiled, hugging her back.
