Ship: Billie Dean Howard x Reader

---

Billie stormed after you, it started with a small issue. You corrected her on something simple. She had been having a bad day and flew off the handle. Billie knew of your past and never wanted to make you feel that fear again, it killed her internally that you were shaking in front of her. Billie stopped in her tracks, eyes growing wide. She got to your level, gently placing her hands on your arms. You were using your forearms to block your face, shaking and sobbing. "I'm sorry darling. I never meant to scare you." Billie spoke softly.

It was hard to breathe, the feeling of his fists hitting you burned into your body. The memory of the pain, the torture. Billie's words were replaced with his voice, his eyes glinting with rage. He grabbed your hands, forcing them away from you. Then, you were in Billie's arms. She held you tightly to her, the smell of her shampoo filling your senses. Her gentle touch, her quiet voice, her petal-soft kisses. You were forced back to the present, back to Billie's light.

You clung to Billie, sobbing uncontrollably into her. "You're okay. It's gonna be okay." Billie whispered, holding you close. By the time night had fallen upon the city, you were passed out in Billie's arms. She kept stroking your hair, falling asleep soon after you. Hiding in the closet, the two of you snoring softly.
