Colin's POV

I must of been knocked out in the explosion. I find myself on the ground, I can already feel the smoke entering my throat.

Apart from maybe a concussion, I seem unharmed. No more then I had been before the explosion.

I find Paul on the ground very close to me, the smoke making it hard for me to tell if he is badly hurt or not.

"Paul," I say coughing slightly.

"Yeah...," Paul said jumping like he had just been taking an afternoon nap.

"You okay?" I ask him.

Paul looks at me before taking in everything around him.

"Maybe a bit bruised. My head hurts a bit and my arm is killing me. But I don't think anything bad," he tells me.

"Yeah me too...Arrow," I say suddenly realising Arrow had been close to us when the explosion went off. Where is he...hold on Dig was with us too.

Paul and I struggle to our feet ignoring the unbearable smoke and flames nearby. Paul leads the way for only a short time before he stops. He is staring at something.

I look to what he is staring at. My mouth drops open in shock.

Dig on the ground in a pool of blood, something inbedded in his stomach. His eyes are closed...he can't be dead right?

Arrow lay motionless beside him. I run forward dropping myself right in front of Arrow.

"Arrow," I whisper in hope he will wake up.

He didn't wake up, but I could feel his pulse. He is alive...oh my god I don't know what I would of done if he wasn't.

Paul is checking Dig over by this point but he suddenly looked at me and shook his head.

"He is dead," Paul managed to say but he already looked shell shocked, his eyes tearing up a little. "I think Arrow stayed with him. Arrow...I'm so sorry."

I place Arrow's head in my lap, putting my hand gently to his face noticing the deep wound there, but it had stopped bleeding. I push his hair out his eyes.

"Arrow," I whisper this time.

He stirred slightly but finally opened his eyes looking into mine.

"I couldn't leave him...not to die like that and on his own," he whispers to me.

"I know...I know. I can't believe it,"  I whisper back.

Arrow takes my hand tight. "They have caused so much pain, death that could of been avoided and for what? Don't let me near them. Cause I know I'll kill them for this!" Arrow said angrily.

"I know you are angry. No one should have to watch a friend die like that," I begin.

"You know why he came here? To help save our boys. He knew I'll be dying inside so he wanted to come help in any way he could. He said sorry for not being anymore help. He thanked me for being his friend. He said he got to be friends with the great Arrow Sharp and couldn't ask for anything more. I couldn't save him...all I could do was watch him die right in front of me," he says to me as he burst out crying and I let him cry into me for a short time.

"We got to get out of this smoke and we still don't know if your boys are safe and I hope your dad is okay," Paul says but anyone could tell he looked upset as much as Arrow is but trying to hold it together.

I help Arrow slowly to his feet. "Paul...can you take him out of here please? We can find our sons," he says to him.

"Anything for you. I'll get him out of here...please be careful," Paul says gently.
