Su Quizi was now living leisurely under her husband’s pocket. However, He Yu was nowhere to be found. The day after the two were married, He Yuan went on a business trip, which lasted a week.

This way, Su Qiuzi also felt at ease. She wasn’t a self-acquainted person, and living under the same roof with a stranger inevitably made her feel stressed. Moreover, this was not her house.

Su Qiuzi lived a very regular life. She worked as an intern at a TV station from Monday to Friday and part-time at a pottery house on weekends. If Lin Qing had a part-time job there, she would also take the time to help.

There were many part-time jobs for students majoring in broadcasting and hosting, and her part-time career started right after she graduated from high school.

She had presided as an event host at shopping malls and small companies, worked as a sales promotion host for household appliances in the vegetable market next to the residential building, and even as a wedding MC some time ago.

Su Qiuzi’s dream was to earn money to buy a house so that she would have a place to settle down, whether it was previously in Su’s house or now in He Yu’s house. She had saved over a hundred thousand on these part-time jobs, which wasn’t even enough to buy a toilet in Summer City.

Su Qiuzi and Lin Qing shared the same major and dormitory. Su Qiuzi’s future employment direction was to become a broadcaster and host, while Lin Qing’s employment direction drifted away after she joined the Qu Opera club in her freshman year. She said she wanted to be a crosstalk performer.

[T/N: Crosstalk performer- is a traditional performing art in Chinese comedy, and one of the most popular elements in Chinese culture. It is typically performed as a dialogue between two performers, or rarely as a monologue by a solo performer (similar to most forms of stand-up comedy in Western culture), or even less frequently, as a group act by multiple performers.]

Lin Qing had joined the club, studied with her master, and started performing on the stage. Some of her performances would also need a host. Lin Qing would be able to recommend Su Qiuzi.

After getting off work from the TV station, the two made an appointment at a Japanese restaurant in the White Stallion Building. This Japanese restaurant had good taste and affordable prices. The two friends would often hang out here.

Su Quizi walked into the private room, took off her shoes and sat down. Lin Qing looked at her movements and asked, “How is life after marriage?”

Su Qiuzi didn’t care about this marriage, but Lin Qing felt that looking at her was like watching a knife hanging over her head, not knowing when it would fall and split her in two.

Her husband was quite nice, but the intricate pros and cons of their relationship foreshadowed that their married life would not be uneventful.

“It’s just changing the big house.” Su Qiuzi took her coat off and, as it was getting cold, she rubbed her hands and said, “He’s away on a business trip now.”

Going on a business trip for two days right after getting married was something only an industry elite could do.

She had her own take on Su Qiuzi’s life but Lin Qing, as a bystander, would not really interfere with her decision. Once the topic ended, Lin Qing asked, “Do you want to go to a bar in Luochen on sunday to watch my show?”

“Performing cross talk in a bar?” Su Qiuzi felt that since Lin Qing had dabbled in the cross talk business, it was becoming more and more bizarre.

“Hey, It’s a multi-event.” Lin Qing said. “There are too many themes for bar parties these days, there was even a funeral party last time! Will you stop talking about crosstalk?”
