Eric's POV:
I sat in my living room reading some documents and filling out Paperwork that's when one of my maids came in.
"Excuse me miss" she said bowing her head I looked up.
"What is it" I asked
"Your brother is here to see you" she said I sighed
"Let him in" I replied she nodded and went to let my brother Aron in.
"I see you still have some of dads ways" he said walking in
" I'm busy Aron is the girl ok?" I asked
"Yes the girl is fine, speaking of her I was curious as to why you suddenly took interest in her then I got a good look at her face." He said taking a seat on my couch then crossing on leg over the other as he leaned back
"She reminds you of her doesn't she ?" He said with a rather serious look on his face. I didn't answer him instead I continued my work
"That's ok you don't have to answer me I already got my answer" he said. I decided to change the subject as I didn't want to talk about her especially not with him.
"And the boy Brad did he show back up" I asked without looking at my brother I got no answer at first but then after a moment he answered. "He never showed up" he said I glanced up at him from my work hearing that change in his voice that only happens when he's lying. As his sister I'm probably the only one who recognizes that change, because I grew up with him I know him better than he knows himself.
I knew that he had just lied to me but I didn't want to give away the fact that I knew he was lying so instead I acted normal.
"Thats a shame I was sure he was that type" I said he shrugged
"I guess you were finally wrong for once" he said.
"So a deal is a deal I followed your orders out so now can we talk?" He asked
"We are talking" I said sarcastically
"You know what I mean" he said I sighed and called my butler over to take my things to my office and which he did, I then crossed my legs and leaned back in my chair, "ok then let's talk" I said
"I kind of thought we'd have dinner but no this works I guess" he said in a sarcastic tone.
"Aron get to it before I change my mind and have my body guards throw you out on your head" I said he raised his hands in surrender "ok ok no need to get hostile" he said
"I didn't just come here to speak on my behalf but dads as well" I rolled my eyes and stood up just the mention of father pissed me off.
"You can leave" I said
" Erica-" he started to say but I cut him off
"No you have no right to come into my home in speak to me about that BASTARD!!" I yelled
"Erica he-" He tried saying but I cut him off once again
"He's nothing to me I don't want to hear about him and I don't want to talk about him" I said
"ERICA!" He yelled
"WHAT!!" I yelled back
"He's sick" he said his voice cracking a bit, I stood there shocked at his words
"He's dying the doctors said he only has 7 months to live a year if he's lucky" he said . It then went silent I had no words and I felt nothing you would think finding out your dad is dying would have you in tears yet I didn't even feel sad or sorry.
"Well then I hope it's a painful 7 months" I said leaving the living room "show him to the door" I said to the guards as I walked past hearing my brother call to me one last time before disappearing upstairs to my room.
I went into my room and sat on my bed that's when I got a voice message from my sister asking to come over and that it was urgent. I shot her a quick text saying yes. Knowing it was going to be a little while before she got here I decided to get in the shower to calm myself.
After my shower and after I was all dressed. I went downstairs just in Time to hear s knock on the door my butler was about to answer it until I stopped him. "I got it Benny" I said he bowed to me and left the area. I opened the door and Mika quickly came in I closed the door behind her just as she started to talk.
"The cartel has the product you requested but they will only meet you at a place of they're chosen" she said
"And where is that" I asked
"At the new club that just opened up" she said she nodded
"Ok tell them we'll be there" I said she nodded and took her phone out of her pocket.
