Teenagers Jake and Hailey were doing some song-writing together in Hailey's bedroom. Jake had arrived at her place a little while ago. Ever since Jake had joined the music club, he had gotten close to all of the members. Especially Hailey. He even considered her a best friend.

Jake watched as Hailey wrote the lyrics into her notebook carefully, giving it her full attention. He couldn't help but just stare at her. Nowadays, Jake noticed that he had been feeling a bit different whenever he was around the musician. Butterflies would arise in his stomach and he would feel his knees go like jelly. His face would grow warm and he would sometimes even stutter around her.

Jake questioned this to himself while Hailey wrote. Why was he exactly feeling this way? Hailey has been his friend for a while now, so what are these weird feelings that he feels about her? Why does he feel this way? That's when it soon hit him.

Was he in love with her? With that, Jake traced back to the times when he had a massive crush on Daisy. He remembered how whenever he'd see her, his cheeks would go red, he would stutter and choke at almost every sentence he uttered to her, the list went on. Now, it looks like the same thing is happening with Hailey..

"No way am I in love with Hailey. God...Love and Hailey. Two words I never thought I would say in a sentence together..I mean..Hailey has been my best friend for a while now..Am I really falling for her? Hailey is really nice, sweet, beautiful and she sounds like an angel from heaven.."

Jake soon trailed off deep into his thoughts, going into a trance. He smiled softly to himself, his cheeks giving off a crimson red. He leaned his head against his palm, dazing off to his other side. It wasn't long before his thoughts were interrupted.

"Hello? Jake?!" Jake snapped out of his daydream and turned towards Hailey who was looking at him with a confused expression. "Finally..Is something wrong? You looked like you were dazing off..You're not falling asleep right?" Hailey asked, crossing her arms.

Jake laughed sheepishly, placing a hand behind his neck. His face went red out of embarrassment. How would Hailey react if she ever found out that he was actually daydreaming about her? God only knows. "N-No! I wasn't falling asleep.. Sorry princess.." Jake replied nervously.

Hailey decided to brush it off and adjusted her chair to face him. "Okay. So, the song is looking good so far. Would you like a little break?"

Jake smiled at the question and nodded. "Sure."

An awkward silence broke out between the two. During this break, no one spoke a word. Hailey played with her hair quietly, running her fingers through it as Jake fiddled with his fingers. A few minutes passed by before Jake broke the silence.

"So, uh..How have you been recently?" He started off with a casual question.

"Oh, uh. Pretty well I guess. Nothing much has been happening..It's all been the same everyday.." Hailey replied quietly. "How about you? How's Daisy?" Jake became a bit confused at Hailey asking about Daisy but decided to answer anyway.

"Uh, the same goes for me. And, Daisy's alright.." Jake murmured slightly.

"Are you and her d-dating yet or..?" Hailey nervously stuttered, looking off. Jake raised an eyebrow.

"No? Why would we be dating?" Hailey looked at him in puzzlement.

"Don't you like her?"

Jake chuckled nervously at Hailey's reply. "Nah, not anymore.." He said softly. Hailey nearly gasped at this. She had thought that Jake still had feelings for Daisy but it looks like things have changed.

"Really? How come?" Jake slowly leaned back into his chair, staring up at the ceiling as he crossed his arms.

"Well, it became pretty clear that she didn't seem to see me the same way as I saw her. And...another girl has been getting my attention a lot recently.." Hailey couldn't help but blush upon hearing Jake's statement.

"Could he be talking about me?! No..I'm way out of his league anyway.." Hailey thought to herself sadly. Jake looked over at her in uncertainty. Hailey decided to say something to avoid another awkward situation.

"Well..maybe things will be di-different this time..Maybe this girl likes you back.." Hailey said shyly, making eye contact with him. Jake met his eyes with hers, gazing deep into them.

"Yeah.." He muttered lowly.

Jake and Hailey both got lost in one another's eyes. They could both feel their hearts pounding almost out of their chests. Jake then slowly started leaning in, just mere inches away from her face. Hailey took notice of this and did the same, leaning in gently.

Their lips became extremely close to making contact with each other. Hailey could feel Jake's warm minty breath on her lips. She leaned in a bit closer as Jake cupped her face, feeling her radiant cheek.

Slowly, Jake pressed his lips against Hailey's, taking her into a deep kiss. Hailey instantly reciprocated the kiss, melting into it. She snaked her arms behind his neck, deepening the contact. She never thought she would ever be kissing Jake.

The teens could feel a spark behind it. An instant connection. A few minutes passed by before they broke the kiss for air, gazing at each other. Their faces were a bright red upon realising what they had just done.

Jake beamed at her and took Hailey into an embrace, snuggling his face into her neck, closing his eyes in content. Hailey returned the hug, stroking his hair. She tried to restrain herself from gasping upon feeling Jake's muzzle tickle against her neck.

"Jake.." Jake opened his eyes during the hug when he heard his name. "What are we doing?" Hailey asked nervously, never having kissed someone before up until now. Jake broke away from the embrace and looked into her eyes.

"Hailey..You're the girl that has been getting my attention recently..I-I think I'm in love with you.." Jake replied in shyness, stuttering in the process.

Hailey's eyes widened. "R-Really?"

Jake nodded at the question. "A-And, I'm really sorry for kissing you if you didn't want me to..I was just distracted by the smell of your hair..and the..t-taste of your l-lips.."

Jake muttered quietly in embarrassment. He looked away, avoiding her eyes. He felt incredibly shy right now. Hailey smiled softly and turned his head gently towards her.

"Jake, it's okay..I mean, I literally reciprocated. You have nothing to apologise for.." Hailey then gave Jake a little kiss on his nose, causing him to blush more.

"And..I love you too.."
