"I'm learning how to make Korean food." His simple answer left Lisa dumbfounded.

"You, you, you… Why are you learning how to make Korean food? I can cook." Lisa thought that the food she made tasted good enough, so they were fine as long as she knew how to cook.

Jungkook had been in the United States for the last seven years, so to him, learning how to cook Korean cuisine was like starting from the beginning. It was too much of a hassle.

"Don't you like Korean?"

"But I know how to make it," Lisa answered helplessly.

"Sometimes you get off work late, and you're tired and hungry. I get off work early and have time anyways," Jungkook said slowly as he plated a pan of mushroom stir-fry.

The delicious smell of food overwhelmed her senses, and Lisa's eyes became misty.

She was extremely touched by his gesture…

The truth was, it wasn't a big deal for a husband to cook a meal for his wife. However, Jungkook wasn't just any husband; he was JC's president, a man who was always super busy and would kill for there to be 72 hours in a day.

JC had seven branch companies, each a leader in their respective industry. Jungkook had to sit through at least 4 to 5 hours of meetings every day.

However, he still managed to make it home from work on time and cook her dinner. How could she not be touched?

"Go wash your hands and change out of your clothes, dinner is ready."

Silent, Lisa went upstairs and changed into a set of loungewear. Then, she washed her hands.

By the time she sat down by the dining table, she saw that four dishes and one soup were already set on the table before her. She could tell by looking at the color of the dishes that they would definitely taste good.

"The food looks delicious," Lisa exclaimed as she looked at all the food in front of her.

Steamed bass, mushroom pork stir-fry, bitter melon stir-fry, and braised pork ribs. He even made clam soup!

Jungkook picked up a bowl, filled it with clam soup, and handed it to her.

"Thank you."

Lisa took a little sip and gave him a thumbs-up, "This is delicious, I don't even know how to make clam soup, how did you manage it?"

"The company's chef taught me. His food tastes good, so I asked him."

"Wow, chefs from big corporations sure are different from the rest of us." Lisa smiled.

This was Jungkook's first time cooking Korean cuisine, so Lisa had a bowl and a half of rice, much more than she usually ate.

In the end, she still couldn't help but say, "If I weren't afraid of gaining weight, I would've had another bowl."

"Don't worry about it, I don't care if you're fat."

"But I do, I don't want to gain too much weight." Lisa battered her eyelashes with an adorable expression on her face.

Jungkook looked at Lisa as a feeling of satisfaction overwhelmed his heart. All he wanted with Lisa was simple happiness.

The next morning, after Lisa arrived at South Side Recuperation Center and changed into her uniform. She then went and measured the blood pressure of the old man in room 2.

"Sir, you need to take it easy these days and no more sneaking in desserts. Your blood sugar is higher than before."

"I got it. Hey kid, if you're not busy, let's play some chess again." The grandpa's expression lit up with anticipation. Ever since he found out that Lisa was skilled in chess, he kept asking her to play with him.
