"Change out of your clothes, and I'll tell you," Lisa said calmly.
"Young Madam..." his agent seemed hesitant.
"It's okay, I'll tell him. Give us a few minutes." Lisa nodded at her...
Soobin was obedient; he went into the bathroom to change out of his own outfit and then sat down on the bed in his hospital gown.
"Tell me, what disease do I have? Don't lie to me."
"In layman terms... you're suffering from liver failure... and need a liver transplant."
"A liver transplant? Is it cancer?" Soobin looked up, seemingly calm.
"It's not liver cancer, but rather a case of complicated liver sclerosis. Because you're in the mid-late stage, you need a liver transplant."
"Is it that serious? Can you find a matching liver?"
"Yeah, we found one already."
"That fast?" Soobin obviously didn't believe her.
"Of course... when have I ever lied to you?" (A/n-: didn't she just finish lying to him about his sickness...)
"Then... when will the surgery be?"
"Within five days, as soon as you finish your pre-op checkups."
"I'll fully recover after surgery?"
"Yup."
"As simple as that?"
"Yes, as simple as that."
After Lisa finished, Soobin still felt unsettled...
He looked at Lisa doubtfully, and she smiled. "Don't look at me like that, I won't lie to you."
"Then what's the rush? I thought I was diagnosed with a terminal illness."
"The thing is, you're suffering from liver failure, affecting your digestive system. If you don't get surgery soon, it'll affect your appetite and you'll lose weight."
"Okay... I don't understand medical jargon, but from what you said, it doesn't seem to be a big problem."
"Of course it isn't, you don't have to worry," Lisa consoled him.
After his conversation with Lisa, he calmed down quite a bit and stopped trying to leave.
His agent immediately went up to Lisa after she left his room.
"How did it go, Young Madam...?"
"He's fine, don't worry. He's on Instagram talking to his fans," Lisa smiled.
"How was his reaction... after he found out?"
"It was fine... it isn't a life-threatening disease to begin with, so why make a big deal out of it?"
"That's great... thank you, Young Madam."
"Don't thank me, the organ donor is the hero here... Without the donor, Soobin wouldn't be able to get surgery so soon."
"You're right, who's the organ donor? I'd like to compensate him or her. After all, they helped Soobin out."
Lisa shook her head upon hearing what his agent said, "It's okay... she won't take money."
"She doesn't want money?" Soobin's agent looked confused.
"Yeah... never mind, I'll tell you about it later, I still have work to do. Call me if you need me."
After a busy day at South Side...
