The Mage's Special Day!

     Himiko woke up and blearily rubbed her eyes. She sighed as she looked at the date on her phone: December 3rd, her birthday. Himiko usually didn't really like celebrating her birthday. To her, it was just another day. Ever since she became Kokichi's girlfriend, however, she had to admit that she was excited to know what he had planned for her on her special day. She climbed out of bed, got dressed, and washed up before heading downstairs for breakfast. Everyone else was already at the table eating breakfast. Nobody seemed to notice when Himiko entered the room, and if they did, they didn't wish her a happy birthday, which confused her a bit, but she decided to remain silent.

   "Good morning, Himiko," Kirumi said. "Would you like a blueberry muffin, or strawberry muffin?"

  "Nyeh...I'll take a strawberry muffin, thanks," Himiko said, nodding politely to Kirumi. Kirumi handed Himiko a strawberry muffin. She looked at everyone around her. They all seemed to be doing their own thing like talking amongst each other, or texting on their phones. Even Tenko and Angie hardly noticed her. 

   "You gonna eat that muffin, HimiCocoa Bean?" Kokichi, who was sitting beside Himiko, asked. "If you don't want it, I'll eat it!" Himiko turned to him.

  "No...I'll eat it," she answered, and took a bite. 

  "Aw, maaan...I really wanted that muffin!" Kokichi whined. Himiko lifted a brow at him, and decided to test him to see if he remembered her birthday.

  "Well...today is a special day, so I think I should have it," she said. Kokichi tilted his head in confusion.

   "Oh? What day is it?" he asked. Himiko gave him an incredulous look.

   "Nyeh...you don't know?!" she asked. Suddenly, Kokichi's eyes lit up.

   "OH!!! You're right, HimiCocoa Bean! I remember!" he exclaimed. A small smile crept onto Himiko's face.

   "I'm glad you remember," Himiko said.

   "Me, too!" Kokichi replied, getting up from his chair. "Today is Saturday, which means a new episode of My Hero Macadamia comes on today! WHOOO!!!" He ran to the living room, leaving Himiko feeling sad and disappointed. 

  "What was *he* so excited for?" Kaito asked.

  "Nyeh...that dumb show that he likes to watch," Himiko muttered in annoyance, crossing her arms. Then, she looked over at Tenko and Angie. "Hey, um...Tenko? Angie?" They both looked over at her.

  "Hi, Himiko!" Tenko exclaimed, sitting next to her.

   "How are you today, Himiko?" Angie asked, sitting on the opposite side of Himiko.

   "Well...okay, I guess," Himiko muttered, doubtful that even her best friends remembered her birthday.

  "Well, you should be happy because today is a special day!" Tenko announced cheerfully. Himiko's eyes lit up.
