Kevin died, again, but this time, by two sniper bullets.

[5 months, 1 week, 4 days, and 20 hours later]

Kevin woke up, only to find out that he was in a room, with an IV pole on him. He was laying down on a metal bed, with blood flowing from a bag mounted on the IV pole to his veins. At first, he didn't remember what happened nor how long he was in a coma, but, thanks to MRD, he suddenly had flashbacks of what happened that day. It makes him shiver from top to bottom, and started looking around the room, before pulling his shirt up, only to see bandages wrapped around his chest. He was surprised, and then immediately put it down. Juan and Maria are asleep on a mattress, while Ron was nowhere to be seen. The room was partially dark, only lightened by a window, where the sunlight shines through, but was fading bit by bit.

"What happened to me?" he asked myself.

But then, Juan and Maria woke up, only to see him up and alive. They then simultaneously stand up, while saying, "Big brother!" They then ran to him, and Maria asked me, "Are you okay?"

"I think so," Kevin responded back plainly. "What happened to me? I remembered being shot by a sniper."

"Oh, it's a long story," Juan replied back while scratching his head a few times, "but we'll explain."

He and Maria then told him what had happened 5 months ago.

[Flashback]

The gunshots and Kevin's scream caught the attention of Ron, Juan, and Maria, who then ran to the direction where those noises came from while calling his name. They arrived at the scene, only to see Kaleb eating and biting Kevin. While Juan and Maria got terrified, Ron pointed his pistol towards Kaleb and shouted, "Hey! Back off from our brother!"

Kaleb heard this, and turned around, showing off his blood red eyes and bloody mouth.

"That's right, back off from him, you zombie!" Ron kept on threatening him. "Back off or I'll shoot you!"

Moments later, Kaleb back off, grabbed his sniper rifle, and ran off.

Once Kaleb gone off, the three of them ran to Kevin, and told him not to die. But, Kevin was really dead, so he was unresponsive. Juan and Maria then started crying for their beloved brother's death. But, Ron figured out the connection between the gunshots and Kevin's scream he and the others heard, and concluded to Juan and Maria, "Guys, I think he might be not dead."

Hearing that, Juan and Maria turned around with tears running from their eyes, and responded, "Really?"

"If we removed the bullets from his body," Ron hypothesized, "he might survive."

"Okay then," Juan slowly replied back. He and Maria then get up, and Ron started to carry Kevin in his arms and started to search for somewhere where the zombified soldiers and drones would not find them. Juan and Maria then carried Kevin's katana and machine gun.

Not long after, they found an abandoned cabin far away from the military base, and Ron kicked the door open. It was empty, with only a bed, a table, and two chairs, all made of oakwood. There are four windows, and the floor was dirt. Upon entering in, Ron shut the door with his foot and immediately lay Kevin on the bed, removed the backpack from him, and placed it on the table, zipping it open and started searching for Kevin's First Aid Kit. He then went back to remove the bulletproof best from Kevin's body so he could remove the sniper bullets. He then went back again to search for Kevin's First Aid kit. After much searching, he found it, and eventually opened it, grabbed a pair of tweezers, and went back to the bed to carefully remove the sniper bullets from Kevin's body. Juan and Maria are watching this with hopes that Kevin would survive. Ron was very careful at this operation, meticulously moving his hand with caution. He then managed to get the first bullet and immediately placed it on the table, before going back to pick the second bullet. After great caution, Ron managed to get the second bullet out and placed it on the table next to the first one.
