Family full of surprises ( Chapter 22 )

"Mommy, mommy." Camila felt herself being nudged on the leg. She wasn't going to get up until she heard a cry.

Camila raised up in a hurry and turned on the side lamp and looked around only to see Logan sitting on the floor crying. "Baby. Sh, sh mommy's here now come on what's wrong?" Camila asked him as she sat back on the bed with Logan in her arms. "I-i had a bad drweam and when I woke up you not there." Logan spoke through his tears. "Oh baby I'm so sorry come on you can sleep with mommy." Camila said and kissed his head while laying him down and laying right beside him, because he wouldn't let her go.

"Mommy, were momma at?" That got Camila thinking she grabbed her phone from the night stand and checked the time. It was 2:23 am and Lauren was still gone and not even one missed call. "Momma just had to step out for a bit but she'll be back soon." Camila said not believing her own words. Logan nodded steeply, "go to sleep Logan mommy's going to be right here." She whispered into his ear and before she knew it he was sound asleep.

Now Logan fell asleep in no time. But Camila couldn't stop thinking about Lauren and were she could be at this time. Camila just sighed and tried get some sleep but nothing was working.

Camila just sighed and looked at Logan, she couldn't help but think of how lucky she was to have such a beautiful child like him. She also knew that no matter what was going on or how bad she felt Logan could make it all better.

By the looks of it she was lost in her thoughts while running her fingers through Logan's hair. She just wanted for her and Lauren to go back to the way things were, before all of this shit happened.

Lauren was now half way to meet up with Kenzie and to say she was nervous would be an understatement. She literally was shaking and the closer she got the faster her heart sped.

She wasn't necessary afraid that Brooklyn was her daughter but more to the fact that she might be losing her family. She just took deep breaths and continued to drive to Kenzie's house.

When Lauren finally made it there she drove into the driveway and put the cat in park. For the first few minutes she just sat in complete silence thinking to herself. What things could be or how they could potentially turn out.

"Ok, Lauren just stay calm and try and be understanding." Lauren spoke out loud to herself, she then sighed and decided it was time to get out of the car and go into the house.

Lauren walked up to her door and took another deep breath, something that she been often catching herself doing. She then got ready to knock on the door when it swung open. "Lauren it's you! I'm glad you're here!" Lauren looked down at the little girl who had now wrapped her arms around her waist.

She just smiled. Because she knew that if the outcome wasn't positive then this was going to be something bad for the small girl. "Yeah I'm back.-" Lauren was saying but was cut off by another voice. "Brook, babe. What have I told you about answering the door to strangers-" Kenzie cut herself off when she finally made it to the door to see that it was only Lauren who Brooklyn had opened the door for.

The green eyed woman looked up from the small girl still in her arms. "So I'm a stranger now?" Lauren asked and Kenzie rolled her eyes. "Not now Lauren just come in." Lauren walked into the house with Brooklyn still holding her hand.

Kenzie just stared at her daughter and Lauren, she couldn't help but wonder why she was so attached to Lauren when she barely knew her.

"So, are we gonna talk or what?" Lauren said making Kenzie come back to reality. She shot Lauren a quick look before looking back at Brooklyn, "umm yeah we are. So brook please go upstairs to your room while I talk to Lauren." Lauren could tell that the small girl really didn't want to. "But momma-" "no buts baby just go upstairs and it want be long you can come back, I promise." Kenzie tried to reassure her but she just poured and looked up at Lauren with pleading eyes.
