A/N: Damn, double update

"You made it" A voice suddenly calls out to us.

The familiar sound of it makes me turn towards the person immediately.

"Nam-ra." I whisper.

Not being able to hold back, I let go of Su-hyeok and run towards her.

Her eyes widen for a second when I hug her tightly, but soon, I feel her wrapping her arms around me too.

I let go of her and see a warm smile on her lips.

"I'm glad you're alright" I tell her, truthfully.

She smiles at me.

"I'm happy you're good, too."

Then, she takes my arm and approaches the whole group with me.

She signals for me to go back over to them, and I go back to my spot between Su-hyeok and On-jo.

"Hey, prez." Su-hyeok greets her.

Nam-ra chuckles.

"Am I still your class president?"

A moment of silence follows her question.

"It's nice." She finally says.

I look at the others and watch them stare at her, not knowing what to say.

She seems to have changed a lot since the last time we saw her.

Her eye isn't as bad as it was before, and she's smiling much more.

Honestly, I think that that's great.

I like seeing her happy.

"Are you okay? How have you been?" Su-hyeok asks slowly.

I see Nam-ra scanning our group again, having particularly long eye contact with Ha-ri before moving on.

"I've missed you guys." She confesses, nervously stuffing her hands into her jacket pockets.

"I've missed all of you"

This sentence of hers brings tears to my eyes.

"We've missed you too, Nam-ra" I tell her.

"I wanted to go see you, but I didn't think I should..." She trails off, but On-jo stops her.

"No, it's okay. Let's go, come with us."

On-jo takes a few steps forward to her.

But Nam-ra shakes her head.

"I still have things that I have to do."

"What things?" On-jo questions, confused.

"Hmm. There are some others like me." Nam-ra starts.

I can't help but feel happy for her.

Maybe she's starting to feel more normal with those people than she had felt before.

"Some of them ran away from the school a while ago, but there are still a few left." Nam-ra continues.

"You're not a zombie. Don't say that." On-jo tells her, still wanting to convince her.

"You know how we're not really kids, but also not quite adults yet, either? That's like me. I'm neither human nor a monster." Nam-ra responds, her expression indifferent.

"You're not." On-jo repeats, taking another step closer.

"Please stay."

I watch as On-jo grabs Nam-ra's hand, offering her a smile.

"It'll be okay."

Will it though?

Maybe Nam-ra won't be happy at that safety camp...

Nam-ra looks down at their hands, letting go of On-jo's quickly, though.

"We're friends even if we're apart. Okay?" Nam-ra asks On-jo.

On-jo starts nodding slowly.

"Aren't we?" Nam-ra asks, now turning to the group.

"Yes, you're right. Wherever we are, we'll be friends." Su-hyeok adds.

"Of course." I smile at her.

Nam-ra walks over to me and places her hand on my shoulder.

"Even if we'll miss each other and don't see each other, it doesn't mean that we can't be friends." She tells us.

"You're right. And you know what's best for you." I smile at her, making her pull me into a hug again.

"Thank you" She whispers after we let go of each other.

Then she takes a few steps away from me again, before turning her head slightly.

"It's them." She says.

The others and I look around, trying to hear whatever Nam-ra is hearing.

But everything seems so silent.

"See you guys, okay?" She chuckles before zipping up her jacket.

Quickly, she walks over to the edge of the rooftop, jumping over it and down to the ground.

My eyes widen for a second and I run to the edge, wanting to look if she's alright.

But I stop myself.

Y/n, Nam-ra's a half-bie.

She can take care of herself.

I turn to look at the others, seeing all their shocked expressions.

Then I turn my head to the edge of the rooftop again, a small smile forming on my lips again.

We'll meet again, Nam-ra.

I'm sure of it.

I just wonder what the future holds for all of us...
