"Hmm, looks like the basement was some kind of cage, probably for the demon child... Personally, I would call it an ugly bastard."
He chuckled, slicing through the bars to enter a room filled with torture devices-racks, iron maidens, and sharp implements-a grim setting.
Hearing the tapping sounds coming closer, Naruto didn't hesitate.
With a quick hand sign, he summoned an illusionary clone using the academy's basic clone jutsu, while he himself leaped up and clung to the ceiling, adopting a pose that would make any spider proud.
The door creaked open, and in shuffled what could only be described as a living nightmare.
Naruto's eyes widened in horror at the sight. The creature was a grotesque parody of a human, sporting a head too large for a neck that wasn't there, and a face that seemed to have given up halfway through being formed.
A single, oversized eye stared wildly from the forehead, surveying the room in alarm.
This misshapen figure was round and heavy-set, with skin stretched over its bulging midsection.
Its arms, too long for its body, ended in gnarled, claw-like fingers. It wore simple clothes, adorned with a strap filled with pockets and pouches.

"How did you get in here?" the creature bellowed, its voice surprisingly human, which took Naruto by surprise.
It lunged towards the clone, which did nothing more than stand there vacantly.
As expected, the creature tumbled right through the illusion and crashed into the wall, knocking itself out cold with a pathetic thud.
Naruto dropped down from his perch, unsure of his next move.
He peered at the creature, now unconscious, then noticed a flicker of text from the system information floating before his eyes.
