The Incident: Book 6, Part 10.
W/ Masoma, Corniyah & enzo.
Setting: the sky casting a gloomy and dark gray over the abandoned auto-repair shop, the possibility of a storm coming was possible.
...inside the basement.
Masoma's POV/1st Person:
Corniyah was still weak from the injury, but she was getting better over the past few weeks. a month ago, that's when it happened. What enzo had done to that man. When he had shot him. It had seemed like they had known each other and possibly even had some history. I dunno, maybe like friends or something.... And Elona's not here. Either. She'd been sent out to go scavenge for things and go on a supply run. But by herself. Apparently Enzo had trusted her to go on her own. Because Corniyah was still healing and Enzo needed to watch and take care of her... and Well, Me... I don't know my purpose for staying here with them. Maybe to give Enzo a Hand with corniyah. But anyway, not like I care or anything. I look up at Enzo. "Hey, Enzo?" I say. Enzo, who had been monitoring corniyah carefully while she was sleeping– Well, obviously she wasn't in a coma. But she's been resting a lot more and being quieter. I wonder why- oh, I forgot. She got hurt. Sorry, I guess I don't know much about injuries and healing. Or maybe I have a bad memory . Enzo looked at me with a weary expression. "What?"He says. I pause before starting. "...Have you ever taken care of kids like you've done with us? Like— It doesn't have to be around the time ever since this whole crisis started. But even before this."I ask curiously. Enzo runs a hand through his hair as he sighs. "Never was the caring or nurturing type. But I used to have a boy that would hang around my place before this. His parents never really cared about him. And he preferred to be alone most of the time, and would usually watch the fish in the lake nearby." Enzo starts. And I nod And Listen. "I used to take care of him, but not like how I do with you girls. He'd come around once a day. Twice, even. But that rarely happened." Enzo continues. "I taught him survival and combat skills. Also how to be sly as well." Enzo shrugs. I Stare at him for a moment intently. He must've had a soft spot for kids in the past. But he mentioned one that he didn't even care telling us about. What was her name, 'Jace-y' or something? Oh well. Either way, it was obvious he hated her guts. I guess it's not my business to know. I sigh, and turn to him. "Well, Mr. Enzo, What happened? Why isn't he with you now?" I ask. That Caught his attention. There definitely was no denying that. "...I... Don't Know." He says. There probably was a lot more to the story than what he was letting on, but I decided to just drop it for now. As I was going to say something else, A Loud Rumble Came from above, which was probably from the roof. Loose debris and dust started to fall as the ground shook. water started to seep through the roof. That was definitely not good. I turn to enzo, who was already fixed on grabbing corniyah. Then it hit me. Elona. She was still out. And with this happening, that wasn't good. I decide to remind Enzo of Elona, even though I'm Sure He Already knows. But I tell him anyway. "Enzo! What about Elona? This definitely isn't good for her. She's out alone!" I said, grabbing his hand. He stares for a moment and then runs a hand through his hair and sighs. "She's Not here right now. We can't do anything for her. All we can do is focus on us and just hope she'll be alright." Enzo says. I trusted his word, and he definitely saw something In Elona that he possibly doesn't in the rest of us, and I also know better to not question him. Like as He said, All We can do right know is try to survive and hope for the best.

W/ Liam, In the slowly burning community.
Liam's POV/1st Person:
My next step is to find mya. Even better if I catch her with her idiotic friends. I can't wait to put an end to all of them. And Soon enough, bingo. I finally find her. But with a Random beast-like dog coming up to her? Oh.. Uh, That sorta took me by surprise. But Another part of this act is to pretend to be innocent. So, Here I go. I ran up to mya, who looked like an angered and nervous wreck. She was heading out already, But I stop her. "MYA! Huff... huff.. What Happened?!" I ask, putting a hand on her shoulder. She shakes her head and sighs. "Damn it, Liam! I was hoping you'd know what caused all of this." Mya says, And I 'nod.' I Look to the left of Mya, which stood the beast-like dog. He must've sensed something about me, because as soon as we locked eyes, he immediately bared his fangs and let out a low, guttural growl. Mya Looks from me, to the beast, and back to me. "...What's going on here? And Hey, What's wrong?!-" Mya yelled as The beast lunged and snapped at me. I stumbled back. "I Don't know, He's definitely trying to tell us something." I put on a concerned/confused act. "Hey, whats-" I Say, And the beast tackled me, its long, sharp canines in my face. I reach for my pistol. As I struggle to fish it out of my belt slot, I finally have a firm grip on the handle. My finger resting on the trigger, ready to pull, I fire. 2 shots filled the air, as the bullets fired right into the beastly dogs' flank. With a pained yelp, the beastly dog staggers back, struggling to stay upright. And My heart starts to race as something grabs me from behind, trying to reach the pistol. I Butt whoever was behind me with the back of my head. It was Mya. She reared back in pain and shock, before her face turning into an infuriated grimace and Tackling me to the ground. The Pistol goes flying out of my hand, approximately 5 feet away from the both of us. I try to reach it. She tries to stop me. Finally, I manage to buck her off of me. Only to be met with a quick and sharp punch to the face. "This was your plan all along, wasn't it, Liam?" Mya snarls. I chuckle. "Yeah, You Naive, Dumb Thing. You should've known this was all a set up from the start, you son of a-" I Laugh, getting cut off with a dropkick to the head. Vision blurred, I attempt to fight back. I knee her in the stomach, then take this as an advantage to grab the pistol while she's momentarily stunned. I sprawl towards the Gun, but just as I was about to grab it, an agonizing pain shot through my arm and wrist. I yell. Loud. It was The Beast again. He was clamping down, and had no intention of letting go. I grab a knife and quickly stab it into its shoulder, and immediately grab the pistol and planning to kill it once and for all. Leaning against a stone wall for immense support, I struggle to reload. "Come On, Come On, Come-" pain, frustration and determination etched on my face, I successfully reload. Though, until...

With Chad, Julian, Victor & The rest of the residents in the community.
No One's POV/1st person:
Chad paced back and forth, worried. "Bloody Hell, Why Haven't they come out yet!?" He seemed ready to punch something. Victor sighs, still his bag of chips in one hand. "Hermano, Please- Think this through." Victor does a feeble attempt to calm Chad down. But to no avail, He was still frustrated if not more now. Julian Pats Chads' Shoulder. "Listen to Him, Chad. Freaking out isn't going to get us anywhere. We just need to think this through, rationally. Plus. Both of them are strong people, they can take care of themselves. They'll make it out." Julian tries to be reassuring, but it felt like those words were more for his own reassurance than chads' at this rate. Chad didn't have anything to say to that, but all he could think was 'I hope you're right. I really do. Because if they don't make it out... I don't even know where to start with that thought.'
