The Incident: Book 6, Part 13.

With Chad, Julian, Victor & The rest of the residents in the community.

Julian's POV/1st Person:

I looked around, and I saw that Chad Still Seemed Pretty worried about Mya And Liam. Huh. Weird. He always seemed not to care about anyone, Period. But then I remembered that he had always been overprotective over Mya, even back in school. But that doesn't explain why he's worried about Liam, though. I decided not to question Him. Victor Had Just Now gotten down to the last bit of his chips, only like three left and a bunch of chip dust. Victor Scowled, Trying to get every last piece."Come on... " Victor Grumbled. He ripped the bag open and looked for anything left. He muttered some other aggravated words in spanish before tossing the empty and crumbled bag of chips onto the ground. I sigh, shaking my head. I seriously don't know what goes on in that guys' mind. Other than that, Everything seemed normal, well, not normal. Though it could be considered pretty normal when you live in a Life like ours. And, well, if you think our life is kind of fun, and you think the normalcy in your life is boring? Please,

Can we swap lives for a while? "I'm not gonna stand back and just wait anymore." Chad stood up, looking at everyone with an angry and serious expression. Everyone, even the residents of the community, looked up. "...um... what do you mean?" I say, confused. That set Chad off. "You know exactly what I mean. They haven't came out in a whole damn hour! What if they're both hurt and need OUR help?! I'm going in." Chad says, until we heard a loud growl. It was absolutely spine-chilling. Some of the children started to cry. Until we saw something leap through the fire, it was an absolutely menacing mutant, huge and muscular Dog. Not a capybara. I had to quite literally squint my eyes and blink to make sure what I was seeing was true. And In the face, I understood who it was; Oliver. I had seen him before at Mya's house. A young, naive and happy pitbull. But what the hell happened to him for him to turn out like this? He seemed panicked, and outraged. My eyes scanned the mutant dog. He had numerous injuries, gashes, bullet wounds. And a couple of singed furs from that fire. Nonetheless, that all should have killed him. But he was still standing, and no sign of weakness or if he's going to give in the injuries— Wait. Bullet Wounds? Who shot him? And they certainly seemed fresh. I didn't hesitate to approach Oliver as I examined the bullet wounds. "Holy crap... this is insane!" They only seemed like an accidental graze or a surface wound, but the way they were positioned made it seem like it was an intentional hit! Chad had already started to head towards the burning community, before he froze in his tracks and crouched down. "Holy hell..." He muttered underneath his breath. Victor and I looked his direction. "What are you seeing, brother?" I called out. Chad sighs, picking up something, as he slowly turns around to us. "Take A Look at this." Chad Held Two shiny things that were completely flattened in his palm. But then I realized that those were bullets. I put two and two together, looking at the bullets, then back at Chad. Then Oliver. Was he..? "No way." I close my eyes, swallowing. "Guys... I think Oliver's Bullet Proof. Well– Sort of. The placement of the bullets should've killed him. But it only did enough damage to cause a surface wound. And Especially with how the Bullets are COMPLETELY Pancaked. I mean, that doesn't really happen to Bullets, No?" I say, training my focus back on the bullets, then I realized how quiet the others were being. Though I was scared to look at their reaction at first.... I finally managed to gather the courage to make eye contact with the group.

"So... you're saying that you think this dog is damn near bullet proof?" Chad says, looking at me like I've lost my Mind, Soon, I take the bullets from Chad's hand, examining the completely pancaked bullets, examining it. "...' I look back up at him. "Precisely." I say. Victor chuckles, grabbing the bullets without warning and holding it up to the sky to get a better look at it. 'Yo... this is crazy, man!" Victor says. Chad sighs impatiently. We both look at him. Albeit a little bashful I Clear my throat and nod, averting my gaze. "Right. Sorry. We should go look for Liam and Mya now."

In The Burning Community, With Liam And Mya.

Liam's POV/1st Person:

I weakly lean against the wall for support, my breath coming out in pained, ragged gasps. My eyes darting around, the paranoia of Mya Or Oliver coming out and attacking me and putting more injuries on top of injuries lingering in my chest. This wasn't really going well for me. I wasn't supposed to be the One Hiding, I caused this. I started this. Now I have to end it. Until Something Came from Behind and Put Me In a Strong, firm chokehold. My arms instinctively fly up to pry at the arms. "You lied to us," Mya spoke, voice slightly hoarse. "We Trusted You. I trusted you. Now you backstab us like this?" Mya says, The shock slowly washing off my face as I relax my frantic pawing,my expression now turning into an amused and sadistic one, my eyes half lidded as I gave a low chuckle. "You naive little thing. You're so easy to trick-" I Say but I immediately feel her vice-like grip tighten around my neck even more, I let out a strained wheeze/gasp. "Tell me why I shouldn't kill you, right here, right now. Or better yet, leave you alone to burn in this fire." Mya says, I couldn't see her, but her tone alone, I knew she was done. "You won't be much better than me, if you follow through with your bright idea." I deadpan. "Hell, don't do that. Don't. Do That." Mya snarls. "Dont even try that, Liam. The world's done. There's no rules, no formality. Capybara's are killing and destroying everything In our PATH. What makes you think we can't do the same?" Mya says. I Sigh. "We don't go by capybara rules. Or whatever those things are, they're only doing what they need to do to survive. We don't know why they turned out the way they did. But that's not our business." I say. "That's EXACTLY what we need to know. More than anything. The number one rule to making the world back to normal. And as for the 'The survival' thing, so are we. We're just trying to survive as much as they are. But only thing different, they don't have much of a threat to watch out for. WE do." Mya says. My face contorts into a scowl. "I swear to god, Mya I Will Kill-" I say. But a group of people came bursting from outside and into the burning community. "OVER HERE! They're Over Here!" One barked from afar, and followed by the sound of footsteps coming closer. It was Chad, Julian And Victor. They all looked stunned. "Mya! What the hell are you doing- Liam? Why do you have a gun? AND WHY IS EVERYONE BEAT UP?!" Julian says. My face falls into an emotionless expression. Mya sighs, slightly releasing her grip. "Liam betrayed us." Mya says. Victor raises a brow. "Liam? That Chico? HAH!" Victor laughs. I gave Victor a quick and judgemental glare in annoyance. This guy thinks he's so tough. "I don't regret anything." I Say, angrily and slowly turning my gaze away from them. "You're the one who shot Oliver." Julian says to me, his tone soft as the realization dawned on him. Chad Put his hand on Mya's arm. "Let Him go. Seriously would love to see him suffer but we're sitting ducks here. The fire will probably attract the capybara's to our location." Chad says, as Mya reluctantly let go. "Don't think this is far from over." I say. None of them respond until Victor speaks up. "We don't. We know we'll be having another friendly 'meet up', Puta." Victor calls out. I roll my eyes. He's seriously so full of himself, and I hate it. "I'd say the same to you, but I'm starting to wonder if I even want to even think about you." Mya says, before I turn away and stagger off, away from them. I had no Idea where I'd be going. I Should've Never Listened to Enzo and Just Lived Normally In Her Community. At least I had food there. But now I'm a damn stray. Now I might never listen to anyone again. But I can't think like that. Like I had said; this is far from over.
