The Incident: Book 7, Part 15.
W/ Enzo, Liam, Corniyah, Elona & Masoma.
No One's POV/3rd Person:
Setting: The sun setting along the plains, and continuing to trek along the fields.
"I seriously can't wait to reach some sort of shelter, especially after walking for so long, seriously man." Masoma grumbled, before dramatically laying out onto the ground, And Enzo sighs, Grabbing her by the arm and pulling her back onto her feet. "Get up." He slightly shoved her forward, and she stumbled before mumbling some more and stomping her feet as she continued to reluctantly walk. Liam perked his head up, and pulled them quickly behind a huge rock, as they all crouched down. Footsteps were heard, and they seemed close. Liam peeked over the rock, and he had seen a group of people, Two soldiers, Two girls, and a boy. "Wonder where they're going." Masoma asked. Elona looked back at Enzo, uncertain. "Well, do you think we should follow them?" Elona asks Enzo, brows furrowed, as he seemed to recognize one of them. "I Was a friend of one of those soldiers, We didn't really Talk, technically. But we weren't best friends either. He's changed, most likely, and so have I. So I wouldn't typically say that we shouldn't, but we just should maintain our distance. We're in no position to be taking chances right now." Enzo explained, and Liam looked over at him, and raised a brow. "We Cant stay out in the wild much longer. We have to risk it. Plus, the more we move in stealthily, the lower the chances are for us to get caught." Liam explained. And Masoma grins. "Looks like we've found the brains of our little pack." Masoma says, And Corniyah looks at her skeptically. "Yeah, and it seems like you've got a little crush." Corniyah says, And Masoma looked shocked. "Shut up! Can I not compliment someone?" She defends herself. Corniyah looks smug. "Right." Corniyah returned her gaze to Liam. "Well?" Corniyah says, and Liam completely ignores their little back and forth conversation. "Come on. Like I said, maintain our distance, but still, don't keep them out of our sight." Liam says, before getting up front behind the rock and slowly following the group of strangers, and Elona and Masoma and the rest following suit. Enzo stayed behind the others, to make sure that there were no stragglers that could have been a part of the group they were following, and they could potentially be spotted by.

Roughly an hour later...
Setting: Enzo, Liam, Masoma, Corniyah, And Elona.
They had still managed to keep themselves on the strangers' tails, thankfully, and Masoma grinned at Liam. "Your Idea was pretty good Liam, you know." Masoma broke the ice. Elona rolled her eyes at Masoma's continued sudden burst of interest towards Liam. Liam looked back at her, before sighing and shaking his head before starting to pick up his pace. Masoma was completely oblivious of his Annoyance or disinterest to strike a conversation with her. "Poor guy, Seriously," Elona said to Corniyah who shrugged. "Well, now he knows what we had to deal with pre-outbreak and all the way up until now." Corniyah says before looking at Enzo. "Hey, Leader guy, why are you just letting Liam take the wheel? This is your job, you know. Not his." Masoma turned around and nudged Enzo, who gazed down at her. "I Taught him and took him in as my apprentice. So technically, he's working through my techniques he learned from me." Enzo coldly replied. Masoma raised her brows in surprise. "So you're like a teacher, yeah?" She queried. Enzo sighs. "However you put it." He didn't bother to try and argue with her, even if he wouldn't exactly agree with the term 'teacher' to refer to his training and skills he passed onto Liam. even if it was 'teaching' in one way or another. Liam gestured ahead, right in front of the mysterious group. "See that cabin up ahead in front of those guys? We wait and see if that's where they're going, if they go inside, we wait a solid 15, give or take, and we let them let their guard down. That's more than likely their shelter. Then we move in." Liam says. Elona looks from Masoma to Corniyah. Then she takes a double look at the group ahead of them.. "Two of those people look familiar to me.. I can't exactly see their faces to really know.. But it's like we've crossed paths with them before." Elona says to Corniyah. Corniyah cocks her head in curiosity. "Really? Where?" She asks, confusion written on her face. Elona grimaces in frustration. "I can't exactly remember.. But it might be people we've gone to school with? They seem too familiar, like from the past, for them to be people we've seen in the outbreak." Elona says. Corniyah looks at her as a 'you better not be saying what I think you are.' Elona Sighs. "You've gotta understand that there's a possibility that's Karis and Kennon." Elona says. Corniyah's confusion only seemed to grow the more Elona spoke. "Dude, if that's the case, Where's Mya and Julian?!" Corniyah says. "They Never traveled without each other. Especially Not Karis. The outbreak would only give them even more reason to stay together. Unless the other two got lost or killed. But still. I'm really starting to doubt your theory." Corniyah says, looking at Elona skeptically. "Look at them and tell me that's not them." Elona says, looking Corniyah deep in the eyes with a cold glare. Corniyah's gaze drifts over to 'Kennon and Karis.' Corniyah's lips firmly pressed into a line as she didn't want to admit it, but she knew that it was true. It was Infact Karis And Kennon. But who were the other three? Corniyah wondered if Masoma had gotten a look at them too, but then again, she was probably too busy trying to Talk To Liam and 'get to know him' more. They could never count on her to talk about serious stuff. Even in the middle of a serious situation. It wasn't long until they had realized the group in front of them had stopped moving. And one of them turned around, slowly. It was Karis. The more so timid, but also outbreak hardened Karis. "Oh, look who's here." Karis says. She looked us dead in the eyes... and Corniyah didn't know what was gonna happen, but something big was about to unfold, She could feel it.
