Lucía sat down next to me on the sofa as I placed my hand on her leg. She instinctively (😂) backed away.

'It's okay darling..' I said.

She slowly came closer again.

'Lu, what would you have prefered? Me leaving you there in the bushes, or this?' I said to her.

'This..' she mumbled.

'See? We might not be family by blood, but we are family by heart...' I said as I placed my hand on her heart.

'Thanks... mom...' she said.

I began tearing up again.

'Don't worry honey..' I said.

For the first time, she hugged me.
I hugged her back tightly.
Then German came down.

'Hey Angie, I missed you next to my side?' He said but when he saw Lucía's puffed face cuz of the alcohol he stopped.

'You've been drunk young lady?' He said strictly.

'German...' I mumbled. I knew he was trying his best to be a good father and to calm me down, but he doesn't know we already talked.

'Yes, dad, but I'm okay now...' she said looking down.

'I warned you for this Lu, you're grounded.' He said.

'What?!' Lucía said as she jumped up from the sofa.

'You heard me.' German said.

'German...' I mumbled again a bit louder.

'Wtf?! Dad, I said I'm sorry and I've talked to mom!' She said looking at me and I nodded.

'I do not want you to swear like that Lucía, and your mother would have said the same' He said also looking at me.

I looked awkwardly at them not knowing wich side to choose.

'German... I did talk to her...' I said quietly.

'See?! You can't ground me for getting drunk?!' Lu almost screamed.

'What's going on?' Violetta said as she walked down the stairs.

'Nothing, I was just about to go to my room..' Lucía said as she walked up stairs.

'Lucía Castillo you come here now! Lucía!' German yelled after her but she didn't look back.

I sighed and looked at German with a "why did you do that" look.
