Chapter 22 :)

~Meanwhile, In Puerto Rico~

Ross' POV

Almost a month has past... And I've been trying to call Laura over and over and still nothing. She won't answer. The only people I've ever talked to was Vanessa and my family. Especially Rydel. I call her almost everyday. I obviously do miss my sister... If only she could just buy a ticket and come here! Ugh... Stupid rules and closed set... I need her with me right now. No joke.

"Hey Ross!" I heard Maia say from behind.

Since I was looking at the mirror, I looked at her there without facing her, "Hey Maia..."

"What's wrong?"

She noticed the expression on my face.

Sad.

Worried.

Scared.

Nervous.

Anything but happy...

I miss my family.

I miss Vanessa.

I especially miss Rydel.

And... Mostly Laura...

"I'm fine... I'm just a little homesick."

"Happens all the time Rossy. Don't worry."

Did she just call me 'Rossy'?

What just happened?

"Ross! You got a package from California!" A man yelled, walking towards me, carrying a box.

"Really?!"

I took the box, hoping it was from my family.

And to no surprise, it was! :D That definitely cheered up my mood.

As I opened it up, Maia stayed beside me.

There were letters and gifts from each one. Hopefully, there's one from Laura.

The first letter I had to open, was definitely Rydel's!

I'm pretty sure the letter on top was hers.

It was pink. Sealed with a Hello Kitty sticker, and taped to a huge teddy bear.

I bet she put it on top cause she wanted me to open her's first 😏😂

Hey Bro!

I knew you'd probably be feeling homesick, so, I bought you a little Teddy Bear.

I stitched a shirt, embroidered with some pictures we took!

So now, the Teddy Bear's wearing a yellow shirt with pretty little pictures of our family stitched to it! Haha!

Keep it with ya at night till you get home, ok? :)

I looked at the Teddy Bear, and smiled. This was probably the best gift ever.

I observed each picture on the Teddy Bear, and there was one of

Me and Rydel.

Me and Riker.

Me with mom and dad.

Me and Vanessa in the photo booth.

Me with Rocky and Ryland.

Me with Kelly and Ratliff.

And... The Austin & Ally cast...

And, at the end, was a new picture.

It was in front of our house.

There was a small caption on top that read:

"We miss you Ross!"

And, at the bottom, it was written...

"Love,

Your Family ❤"

I smiled as I looked at the picture. But then, it suddenly faded.

Vanessa.

Again... No sign of Laura...

Does she hate me?... I'm getting worried now.

"That's a nice gift from your sister," Maia said behind me.

"Yeah..."

I opened the other letters and gifts. They were all "I Miss You" notes and gifts.

I got a football from Ryland.

A little Sid from Ice Age stuffed toy from Rocky.

A cat stuffed toy from Ratliff.

I also got a picture frame from mom and dad.

I got a surf board key chain from Riker with my name embroidered on it.

And also a bottle cap key chain with my name on it from Kelly.

As well as another stuffed toy from Vanessa.

I laughed.

It was a stuffed toy shaped as a guitar, and it had a picture of me stitched on it.

Wow, it's like they customized everything for me!

I think those were all the gifts :/

But then I looked carefully in the box...

There was one small one...

I picked it up and it was just a small, guitar pick shaped box.

There was nothing written about who it was from :/

Oh well...

I opened it up anyway, and there was an R5 guitar pick necklace.

"Don't you already have one of those?" Maia asked.

"Yeah, I do. I wonder who sent this."

I picked up the necklace and took it out of the box. It was certainly a lot heavier than our normal ones :/

Suddenly, a strong wind blew.

"Ross! The necklace!" Maia yelled.

The necklace literally flew off my hand and landed in the sand, next to the water.

I ran after it, even if it may not be that special as the other gifts.

But when I got to it, it was already opened up by the wind.

I thought it was broken, but then I leaned in closer.

There was a picture on it.

The necklace was a locket... A thin one though.

The picture was a little blurry since it was little.

But once I saw it, I smiled.

It was a picture, of me and Laura.
