Chapter 23 :)

Ross' POV

I kept the necklace in my pocket right away and walked back to Maia.

I didn't have any doubt at all that the necklace had to be from Laura.

I mean, everyone sent me a gift.

Except her. And the gift was anonymous.

It has to be from Laura. It just had to.


~Meanwhile, in California-


~FLASHBACK~

Riker's POV

"Alright guys! Smile for the picture!" Dad yelled behind the camera as we all stood in front of the house.

We were going to send this picture to Ross over in Puerto Rico.

"Is everyone here?" I said, checking.

I looked around and the usual, Laura's not here...

"Where's Laura?" I asked.

We all looked at each other, curiously.

"Dad! Wait! Don't take the picture yet!"

I ran up to the Marano's house and knocked on Laura's room.

"Laura?"

No answer. Again.

I decided to peeked in a little and saw that she was sitting on the floor.

There were scissors next to her. Some glue, and all.

Basically arts and crafts materials.

And in here hands, there was a small R5 guitar pick necklace and a small picture she was putting in.

I smiled a bit, sort of knowing that would probably be for Ross.

I didn't wanna disturb her. So I ran down the stairs and walked outside.

"Guys! Laura's asleep."

"Again?" Vanessa asked.

"Yup..."

"Sorry guys! We can't wait! The sky is perfect for the picture, so we have to do it now." Dad said.

"Ok!"

We all stood in a line, in front of the house.

Dad set the timer and ran back to us.

1...2...3!

"CHEESE!"

~A Few days later~

Rydel's POV

"Laura! Do you have anything for Ross you wanna send to him? We're sending a package over to Puerto Rico!" I yelled.

She came walking down the stairs, carrying a small little box, shaped as a guitar pick.

"Here," she simply said, handing it over to me.

"A guitar pick?" I asked.

"Uh... Yeah! That's what it is."

"Well, ok!"

I observed the box and put it into the package.

But I realized...

"Laura, you forgot to put who the gift was from."

"Oh... You don't have to. It's just a guitar pick anyway right?"


Laura's POV

I did not want anyone to know that it wasn't just a guitar pick.

It was really a locket.

I put in a picture of me and Ross in there...

But I couldn't let him know that was from me. I don't know why. I just can't.

"You packing the gifts?" Riker asked from behind.

"Yup!" Rydel agreed.

"Did you get him anything Laura?" He asked me.

"Yeah... Uh, just a guitar pick." I said.

"You sure?"

"Definitely."

Ok... Riker had a smile on his face, so I knew he knew something.

Right away, I whispered to him, "How did you know?"

"Know what?" He whispered back.

"The gift..."

"Oh... I saw you making it." He smiled.

I smirked and said, "Dont you tell anyone!"

He laughed, "I promise, I won't."

~Back In Puerto Rico~


Ross' POV

"Ross! Maia! There you guys are! C'mon, time to do the kissing scene!" The director yelled from the beach.

I have to admit... I'm actually really nervous about this. The last person I kissed was Laura. While we were shooting Austin & Ally.

And now I have to kiss Maia. While we're filming Teen Beach Movie.

"Let's go Ross!"

Maia pulled my hand as we walked down to the beach.

We stood next to the shore and she put her arms on my shoulder.

"Are you nervous about this?" I whispered to her.

She smiled and shook her head, "Not at all."

Everyone started to pile in. The director sat on the chair and the rest of the cast were watching from behind.

The director took the megaphone and yelled, "Action!"

I sighed...
