Laura's POV
After Riker ended the phone call, I twirled around the bathroom like a princess and reached for my brush😜
Randomly singing, lalalas to myself, I looked into the mirror and started brushing my hair.
It was all happiness inside for me- But then I realized...
Riker didn't sound the same when he was on the phone.
He sounded a lot happier in Puerto Rico.
Something just doesn't seem right.
"Laura, c'mon😜 I already told you you don't need make up! Let's go😜," Ross said again from the other side of the door.
"Alright, alright... I'm coming😜"
I opened up the bathroom door, and saw Ross right in front of it.
His eyes were scanning my dress, "You look too pretty for the carnival," He laughed.
"Too much?" I asked.
"Nope. You're perfect :) Shall we?"
"We shall :)"
Sneaking out the hotel definitely wasn't easy.
No one should know I was in, no one should know I'm going out.
So in that case, we decided to take the back door.
"Hey Ross, where's Maia's room?" I randomly asked as we waited in the elevator.
"Maia's room? Oh... Uh... I don't know..."
"What do you mean you don't know?😜 Where has she been sleeping then?"
"With um... With me..."
My eyes widened, "You shared a room with her for that long?"
"Y-Yes... But that doesn't matter now! What matters is that you're here now, right?😊" He said, trying to change the subject.
"Yeah... Sure."
"Wait, you're not mad are you? Cause... That was a long time ago."
"Nah... I'm not..."
"Ok then😜"
The elevator doors finally opened, and Ross took my hand as we ran towards the direction of the back door, avoiding getting anywhere near the lobby.
Hopefully no one saw us.
"How are we gonna get to the carnival?"
"Simple," Ross snapped his fingers, and suddenly, a horse carriage appeared in front of us.
"You got us a horse carriage?😍" I jumped excitedly.
I've never ridden one before. And this was definitely the perfect night to ride one.
"Only for you :) Hop on!"
He held my hand and helped me up the horse carriage. He jumped on next to me after I sat down.
"How long's the ride to the carnival?" I asked.
"About 10 minutes😜 But there's something I wanna show you along the way :)"
"Ok :)"
As the horse carriage rode away, I looked all around the sights of Puerto Rico.
It was beautiful.
And since it was night, the stars were shining as well.
"This is amazing, Riker," I smiled.
"Riker?"
I froze once I realized what I said, "Did I say Riker?... Pfft! I meant Ross..."
"Really?" He said, giving me a look.
"Really really"
"Hmm... Well ok😜 Instagram !picture?" He suggested, changing the subject.
I laughed, "Sure!"
He took out his phone and put it in front of us.
I smiled in front of the camera and heard a little "click" that the iPhone always makes in a picture.
I left Ross to post the pic on his phone and looked out the carriage.
We were crossing a bridge.
There was water that was shining cause of the stars and light reflections from the lamp posts.
After looking at all that, my phone rang.

Rydel's POV
"Woo! Movie night!" Rocky yelled, jumping on the couch.
We always had movie nights around here.
We'd invite Kelly, Vanessa, Ratliff and Laura.
But now it's just Kelly, Vanessa and Ratliff.
"What movie's it tonight?" Ratliff asked.
"You pick😜" I said.
"Umm... Let's watch Scary Movie 3," He laughed.
"Ok then! I'll go grab the DVD," I walked upstairs to get the DVD, then I decided to check my phone for a bit as I found it on the dresser.
The first thing that popped up was Instagram.
I scrolled down and stopped at Ross' picture of him and Laura that caught my eye.

I ran downstairs with the DVD in my hands, and my phone.
"Guys! Look at this picture Ross posted of him and Laura!"
Riker was the first one to run up to me and look at my phone.
"Oh..." He simply said.
"That's adorable!" Mom joined.
"Told ya Laura was a sweet girl," Dad joined too😜
"We always new Laura was a sweet girl dad😂 She's a family friend😜"
"Well it's nice to see they're having fun! C'mon, let's go watch the movie," Vanessa said and ran back to the couch.
I put in the movie, and turned off the lights.
"Riker, could you get me my phone please?" She asked nicely.
"Sure Laura :)" He said, giving her her phone.
"Laura?"
Riker's face froze, "Did I say Laura? I meant Vanessa! Yeah... Vanessa."
"Really?"
"Really really..."
"Hmm... Ok"
