YEAR: 2040

[Delilah's POV]

Okay, can I just say that, being a bisexual female, in college is probably the hardest thing ever! You're forced to share a room with a gorgeous girl and you have to look at her. Every. Single. Day. You have to watch her do her little morning and night routines. You have to watch her do her little study habits and have little anxiety attacks about an exam. It fucking bites knowing that she'll never like you back, but hey...what can you do?

"Hey Dil, I'm gonna head out for a bit," Penny said.
"You're gonna leave me on my birthday?" I chuckled.
"It's your birthday?"
"October 19th," I smirked.
"Oh, well, I'm going out with a few friends for a drink. Wanna come?"
"Yeah, why not. My brother's going to Manchester to see Stef anyway," I sighed.
"You don't wanna spend it with your parents?"
"It's their anniversary and their first year without kids...I'd just be a burdon," I laughed. "So where's this bar?"
"Liverpool,"
"Why are we going to Liverpool?"
"Fun car ride, decent pub, spending the weekend in Beatle country,"
"Oh god," I rolled my eyes.
"Okay," she giggled. "You try growing up with a name like Penny Lane and I dare you tell me that you wouldn't be complete Beatle trash,"
"Well, excuse me," I chuckled.
"Come on, get ready,"
"I'm going, I'm going."

"It's a bit crowded, don't you think?" I said.
"You've never been to a bar, have you?"
"Never..."
"Have you ever had a drink before?"
"I've had a glass of champagne on New Years but that's about it,"
"So...you've never had like a beer, or a cocktail, or anything along those lines?"
"No..."
"Oh, Delilah darling, it's going to be a fun night,"
"You're gonna get me drunk, aren't you?"
"I'm sure as hell gonna try," she smirked. "Come on, I'm buying,"

She took ahold of my wrist as she started dragging me through the bar. We finally found a few empty stools up at the bar; apparently her friends saved them for us.

"There you guys are!" One yelled. "I was wondering when you losers would get here," she laughed. "Pen, I ordered you a toasted almond-"
"Starting me off light I see," she teased.
"You bet and Delilah, I got you a martini. Shaken not stirred,"
"What's the difference?"
"Oh, she's too cute," the girl laughed. "I'm Anna, by the way. I'm one of your brothers roommates,"
"It's nice to meet you," I said.
"Your brothers cute," she uttered.
"He's engaged,"
"Yeah, I know," she smiled. "His fiancé is gorgeous. I must say, good for him,"
"Yeah, she's pretty cool...have you ever met her?"
"I've said hi to her a few times on Skype but, that's about it. She seems nice,"
"She is,"
"Okay, enough talk about girl," Penny groaned. "It's guy time,"

I slouched in my seat as the girls gossiped about random crap. I nursed my martini every once in a while; I must say, it doesn't taste too bad. After about an hour, I finished my martini and stood up from my seat.

"Hey guys, I think I'm gonna go..." I said.
"Come on Dil," Penny said. "You're staying until you're drunk,"
"Fine," I sighed. "Five shots of tequila please,"
"What are you doing?" Anna raised a brow.
"Getting drunk," I mumbled.
"Here y'go," the bartender said.
"Thanks," I said as I quickly did the five shots. "M'kay," I hiccuped. "First of all, that was disgusting. Second of all, I'm gonna head to the hotel before the alcohol actually hits me. Gimme the keys," I said.
"You are not driving," Penny gasped.
"Hotel keys, dumbass. It's only a block away. I'll walk,"
"I might as well come with you," she sighed. "It's been fun guys. Come on Dil," she said as we walked out of the bar and back to our hotel room. "Go to bed," she mumbled.
"No," I pouted.
"Why not?"
"Cause I wanna sing!" I chuckled as I rolled around on the bed.
"Holy shit, alcohol hits you fast,"
"I saw the sign! And it opened up my eyes I saw the sign!"
"Delilah," she laughed, "lower your voice,"
"You're named after a Beatle song," I giggled. I hung my head upside down, off the bed and let all the blood rush to my head.
"I am," Penny said as she sat next to me.
"Penny Lane, the barber shaves another customer,"
"That's not how it starts," she laughed.
"Beatle's a funny word,"
"It is,"
"You know who has a silly name,"
"Who?"
"Bandit Way. Like, who names their kid Bandit and their dog Susan?"
"Your dogs name is Susan,"
"Oh yeah!" I gasped. "My pets have silly names,"
"What are they?"
"Susan 2, Mikasa, and Buffy," I smirked.
"Yes, very silly. Dil, you should sit up before you throw up,"
"I don't wanna..."
"Delilah," she said as she grabbed my wrists. "Sit up!" She huffed as she pulled my body up. "See much-" I cut her off by planting a drunken kiss on her lips. "Delilah," she gasped as she pushed me off. "What the hell was that for?"
"Cause I like you," I shrugged as I fell backwards again.
"No...no you don't you're drunk. A-And straight..."
"I'm bi!" I hiccuped.
"Y-You are?"
"Mhmm,"
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?"
"Cause I've only told like, four people," I said. "Oh! That reminds me, I should tell my parents," I whisper yelled as I fell off the bed.
"Wait, your parents don't know?"
"Nope," I chuckled. "Hey, unlock my phone, please,"
"What's the password?"
"My birth year,"
"2222?"
"Mhmm,"
"Want me to call one of your dads?"
"Please,"
"Okay...which one?"
"Well, I wanna tell dad but, bear's probably the one awake..."
"So call bear?"
"No! Call dad,"
"Okay," she said as she clicked.

Calling Dad...

"Dil? What are you doing? It's 1:30 in the morning,"
"Hi daddy!"
"Oh for god's sake, are you drunk?"
"Maybe," I giggled. "Hey daddy, guess what!"
"What is it, princess?"
"I'm bisexual," I laughed. "Surprise!"
"You're what?"
"Bisexual," I smirked.
"Well, okay. Good for you sweetheart. Can I go back to bed now? If you want, I can call you tomorrow morning, when you're sober, and we can talk about this a bit more. Okay?"
"Okie dokie,"
"Okay. Goodnight Delilah, I love you. Happy birthday, and I'll call you tomorrow,"
"Bye daddy," I said as I hung up. "You're cute," I uttered. "We should date,"
"Dil, I don't see you like that..."
"Why not," I frowned.
"Because, I'm not gay,"
"Yes, you are," I smiled.
"No, I'm not,"
"Yes, you are. When I kissed you, you kissed back, indicating that you liked it,"
"Delilah, I-" I cut her off once more as I pulled her into a semi-passionate kiss. "Wow..." she whispered.
"See, I was right," I giggled. "Oh, I'm tired," I yawned as I climbed underneath the covers.
"Okay...I'm gonna head back to the bar,"
"No!" I yelled. "Stay with me...please..."
"Dil, I-"
"Please...it's my birthday...please do this for me, Penny,"
"Fine..."

She crawled under the blanket with me and wrapped her arms around my torso as our legs quickly intertwined with each other. She placed a soft kiss on the back of my head before she closed her eyes and let out a sigh.

"I think I've got some stuff to figure out, Dil," she whispered.
"Hey Pen," I mumbled.
"Yeah?"
"Will you go out with me?"
"You're drunk, Delilah,"
"I know...just, answer the question. Will you go out with me?"
"I'd love to."
