Shadow Snake

On their journey back home, Zuko was too quite for Lillian's liking so she decided to change that. As Kasai began to jog Lillian let go of the reins, bought her legs up onto the saddle and then flipped over Zuko landing behind him. Zuko shot her a glare before taking the reins and pulling Kasai to a stop.
"What are you doing?"

"Having fun, you got a problem?"

"There is no time for that, get us home now!"

"Not until you say please."

"Who do you think you are? Talking back to royalty is a show of great disrespect!" Zuko hissed through his teeth.

"My name is Lillian Titan, and I don't care about a title. Have you forgotten that I always spoke to you this way, Prince Zuko!" Lillian spat with venom in her voice. "Then again... You forgot me, so why does it matter..."Lillian said as she calmed down.

"Take me back. Right. Now!"Zuko said in rage.

Lillian looked away before jumping off Kasai and walking away.

"Where are you going!? I just gave you an order!"Zuko yelled.

"Find your own way back! Kasai...SURO!!! Lillian commanded. Suddenly Kasai stood on his hind legs and threw Zuko off his back. Kasai ran towards Lillian as she jumped on his saddle and ran to the cliff side. Zuko dusted the dirt off of his clothes, "Stupid girl! I'll show her!" Zuko said as he clenched his fists

Zuko made his way back and shoved the doors open, "I will not have Lillian on my ship! Not as a passenger or a prisoner! She can stay right here!" Zuko yelled as he walked passed the old men at the Pai Sho table towards the balcony. "Prince Zuko... What happened?"Iroh asked as he made his way to pour some more tea. "She is a child! She has no respect or any right to speak to me the way that she did! I refuse to have her on my sh----" Zuko was cut off with a loud roar that broke through the air. "What on earth? " Kan said as he stood next to Zuko. "Was that Kasai's roar Kan?" Ping asked as he looked at out the window. "I believe so Sir, but i don't understand why he wou---" Ping and Kan's eyes were wide with shock when they saw lightning shot in the air towards Kibo. "Shadow snake..."Ping whispered. "Kan, ready the Eelhounds! We need to go help her!" Iroh stood up and made his way outside, "Uncle? What's going on?" Zuko asked, "The village is under attack by that gang, quickly we must go to assist Lillian!"

Lillian sat at the edge of the cliff side, she had her legs drawn up to her chest and rested her chin on her knee's. 'What's happened to him?' Lillian thought to herself. Kasai laid next to Lillian with his ears flat. Lillian looked out to the edge of the ocean and sighed. "Guess I'm staying on the island..." Suddenly... Kasai's ears perked up. He looked towards the side of the mountain where Kibo was. Lillian watched him as he sniffed the air and raised his front paw, then... he roared! Lillian knew what that meant, she had no time to think about Zuko and his pathetic moods. Her friends were in trouble, and by the sounds of it... BIG TROUBLE. Lillian took her stance and swayed her arms, as the electricity collected around her, she bought her fingers to her chest and then released into the air towards Kibo, hopefully her grandpa saw the message. Lillian jumped on Kasai's back and they raced down to the village, preparing herself to see things she never wanted to see.

Everyone in the village was gathered out side against the dam wall, the woman stood in front of the children and the elderly as they watched the brutes break down their homes and burn their crops. "Zea, your son had some nerve blowing this whistle..." he held the boy up by his hair. "Ahhhhh! Let me go!"Rohan yelled. "Please! Don't hurt him!"Zea pleaded. "Don't worry... I'm not going to hurt him, I'm going to burn you all to ash! But first..." The man turned and threw Rohan against a solid wall, the boy fell down and didn't move, he had short breathing and was mumbling. "What did you say Boy?... hmmm burn everyone? No problem!"All the men stood around the villagers ready to release flames from their arms.

"There they are! Against the wall!"Ping yelled out

"We're to late! We wont make it down there in time!"Kan said

"Wait! Is that Lillian at the top of the wall?"Iroh gasped

Zuko's eyes raised in shock, "We need to get down there now!!!"

"Kill them all NOW!"The leader yelled, and with that... A huge wave of fire was heading towards the people, Zuko looked away as he heard the screams of the villagers , reminding him of his Agni Kai that gave him the burn on his face, but then there was silence. As Zuko turned his head back he was shocked to see that all the flames were gathered together in the form of a tornado flying around the villagers but burning the gang members. "What?!?! What kind of bending is this!!!"The gang leader yelled. Zuko noticed that there was white, blue, green and purple flames escaping from the orange ones. it was beautiful....

Zuko and his Uncle took down the leader as quickly as possible, Ping and Kan had the others in a corner, some got away because they ran in fear. Zuko watched in amazement, as the flames started to dissipate, he saw the figure of the bender, Zuko squinted his eyes and realized that it was Lillian 'Wow... she's stronger than she looks'. As Lillian bought her arms together her eyes fell shut and she collapsed, but before she could hit the hard ground, Zuko caught her. From being so strong one moment ago to looking so fragile...'I've got you Lilly' he whispered. Zuko lifted her fragile body and started to make his way to Kasai, but before he could take another step, Lillian's eyes fluttered open. She looked up into Zuko's gold eye, "Rohan.." she manage to say before her head rolled to his shoulder. Zuko laid Lillian down and made his way to the young boy whose body lay on the floor motionless. Uncle Iroh was at the boys side shaking his head, when Iroh lifted his head, Zuko knew, the boys injuries were sever. He was dead. " Ro-ro, wakey up!" it was Asha, the little girl who kissed his bandage. Zuko felt a hand on his shoulder, when he turned to see who it was, Lillian walked past him and knelt before the boy. Zuko watched as Zea started to tremble, and Lillian she was... Clenching her fists. She turned and faced the gang leader that was still in Iroh's hold, her eyes seem to glow with flames as she walked closer, the gang leader was a large man but to Lillian he was nothing so she lifted him as if he was nothing. She held him against the wall with one arm, his feet dangling and her other arm had a flame forming, "Y-your a monster! You killed an innocent boy!!!" she punched the wall next to his head, his eyes grew with fear, " and now... I'm going to do the same! A life for a life!!" As Lillian pulled her arm back ready to strike the man through his heart, she heard a voice... " Don't do it Lilly, don't waste your time with him." Lillian released the man and he fell to the floor. She stood in front of him as he trembled, "Leave with Zuko, my spirit with protect this village and the island. I promise." Zuko watched as Lillian stood before the man who killed Rohan, " Rohan..." Lillian whispered. There was suddenly a bright light as Rohan's spirit spread across the village, his body disappeared, leaving behind a simple seed. The gang leader was gone but he will return. Asha picked up the seed and stumbled to Lillian. "he turned into pee nut, make him back" Lillian took the seed out of Asha's hand and walked towards the stream, there she planted it and placed red rocks around it. " He will grow here" Zuko stood next to Lillian as she bowed, Zuko followed her actions as they showed respect to the deceased Rohan and the new Kibo spirit.

On the way home, Lillian rode on Kasai next to Zuko's Eelhound, they didn't say anything. Zuko watched her as she played with her fingers. " Your a really strong bender... It would honor me for you to join my crew" Zuko said well watching her. Lillian nodded her head and kept moving forward.

Things are going to change for Lillian... Even though she looked fine, she was broken on the inside.
