Winter had tried everything to get away from the bullying. He'd transferred middles schools 3 times, and each time somebody somewhere knew who he was and the cycle began again, and each school was worse than the last. With the current school he was in, his phone number was leaked, and he had been receiving bad messages everytime he turned on his phone.

Mike peaked through the crack of Winters room. He was crying under the covers for the third time today, they'd even bought him a tissue box for his bedstand. Mike walked away from the door, going into the living room to find Jeremy.

"Hey, you should go talk to him." He suggested. "He won't talk to me."

"With his current state I doubt he'll want to talk." Jeremy sighed.

"I don't care if he wants to or not, he hasn't eaten in two days. It's getting out of hand." Mike argued. Jeremy didn't bother fighting back. He quit trying to long ago. He got off the couch and dragged himself into Winter's room.

"Winnie?" He called softly, his sons sobs stopping momentarily.

"What?" The teenager replied.

"Can I talk to you?" He asked. Winter hesitated before slowly looking out of the blankets. His usually pale skin was red and covered with tears and snot. His blue eyes were bloodshot, and his hair was getting longer and growing tangles. Jeremy closed the door as he walked in, sitting next to Winter on the bed.

"How are you feeling?" He asked.

"Sad, what does it look like?" He snapped. Jeremy didn't mind, he knew he was in a tender condition.

"Just checking, sometimes sadness can feel numb." Jeremy whispered. "If you don't mind telling me, what are they saying?"

"They're calling me a slut and a whore and telling me to kill myself already before I become a prostitute. It's not even the makeup anymore, it's that god damn photo Zack took. It's going viral." He explained.

"Do you think you're a slut?" Jeremy questioned.

Winter sighed. "Sometimes I look back at that picture and think so. I don't want to be, I don't I don't I don't.." He sniffed.

"Do you hate yourself?"

"Yes."

"How come?"

Winter got completely out from under the covers, sitting next to Jeremy. "I'm only good for people to use me, and I'm ugly and fat and I feel like I cause you and dad so much trouble and you'd be happier if I were dead."

"I know I can't change your mind about how you think about yourself, but I can assure you, we don't want you dead. We got you because we wanted to be happier, and we are." Jeremy hugged Winter gently. "Is anything making you sad besides the bullying?"

"Sometimes I hear you and dad talking.. He's always yelling at you and it's because of me." Winter confessed.

"He's only yelling because he cares about you and he's scared." Jeremy spoke.

"Does he care about you?" Winter looked up at Jeremy.

"Of course." Jeremy smiled.

"It doesn't seem like it."

Jeremy sighed and rubbed Winter's back. "He's stressed, he has anger issues, as soon as he gets it all out he'll be fine."

"Sometimes he comes into my room and I can tell he's drunk." Winter confessed. "He looks through my phone and threatens kids."

"Is that why you don't want to talk to him?" Jeremy asked.

Winter nodded. "I don't want him to yell at me. I can't handle it."

"I'll talk to him, okay? It's one thing for him to yell at me, it's another for him to yell at you. Turn off your phone, watch some TV, calm down. I love you." Jeremy kissed Winters head before leaving the room. He closed the door behind him and walked over to the couch with Mike. He didn't say anything, Mike didn't either. The way Winter talked about Mike sounded like the way Jeremy used to talk about Tom. That made the brunette uncomfortable.
