Chapter 44

Landon's POV
Brody comes home tonight, but super late. I wanted to stay up and wait for him, but Noah won't let me.

"Please Noah!" I begged. I missed Brody a lot. I still had a ton of fun with Noah, but it just feels weird not having him around.

"You can see him in the morning." Noah told me.

"But why not tonight? I'll go to bed right after he gets home." I tried.

"Please stop arguing." Noah told me.

"But I just wanna see Brody!" I whined.

"Call Brody and ask him then." Noah gave up.

"Ok!" I smiled.

I grabbed my phone from my pocket and started dialing his number. After 4 rings he's finally answered

"Hello?"

"Hi bubba!" I said cutely so he would let me stay up.

"What's up?" He asked.

"Can I stay up until you get home?" I asked.

"It might not be until 3 am." He told me.

"I don't care."

"Do whatever Noah tells you, but I really gotta go. I'll see you soon." He hung up.

I sighed.

"What did he say?" Noah asked.

"He said I can wait for him!" I lied, but Noah doesn't know what he actually said.

"Lair. I heard him." Noah caught me.

"Fine!" I pouted.

"Go get ready for bed." Noah told me.

I didn't argue anymore cause I knew I wouldn't win. I went upstairs and decided on taking a shower, so I could kill some time and maybe Noah would change his mind.

I hopped in the shower and got all nice and clean. Then put my pajamas on.

I went to my bed and laid down. I waited a while for Noah, but he didn't come.

"NOAH!" I yelled for him.

"ONE SEC!" He yelled back.

I waited and it was definitely longer than one second.

"Sorry, I was talking with Samantha." Noah said, walking into my room.

The day after we all hung out Noah asked her out and she said yes. I still wonder what she sees in him. He's kind of a jerk.... nah just kidding. He's pretty cool.

"Oooooh Samantha!" I smirked.

"Shut up and go to bed." Noah shoved me in laying position.

I got comfortable and Noah pulled the covers to my chin.

"Goodnight, love you bud." Noah kissed my forehead.

"Love you too."

Brody's POV
I just got home from my trip and it was pretty cool. I think I know which college I want to go to and I don't think Landon is gonna be very happy. It's Texas A&M University. It's a couple hours away from our house, so I wouldn't live at home anymore.

I know Noah will miss me too. Even though he doesn't like admitting it cause he thinks it's not cool. But I'll definitely miss both of them. No matter how annoying they can be.

I walked through the door and I was wondering if Noah let Landon stay up, but I didn't see anyone, so I guessing he said no.

I was planning on waking Landon up and surprising him, cause I knew he would love it. But first I showered and got changed.
