I was sitting downstairs reading a book in silence. I started to hear faint crying from mine and Marks bedroom so I went upstairs to see what was going on. The door was shut so I knocked lightly.
"Mark is everything okay?" I asked. I got no reply but a loud sob that ripped through the silence. I opened the door to see the love of my life sitting on the edge of the bed with his face in his hands crying heavily. I instanly got by his side and wrapped my arms around his shaking frame.
"Mark, sweetie whats wrong?"
"I'm no good for you. You deserve better than me and I don't deserve you at all." My heart broke hearing those words come from him. I pulled him closer so his head rested against my shoulder and his arms wrapped around me.
"Mark... You know thats not true. If anything you deserve better than me. Please don't ever say you're not good enough for me." I pulled away and stroked his cheek. He smiled and leaned into it.
"I love you so much Mark. Please remember that." I said softly.
"I love you too." I pulled him back into my arms.
"Why don't we take a nap to take our minds off of this yeah?" He nodded in agreement. We cuddled and fell asleep.
