Pacifica sat in her seat and waited patiently for the orchestra to begin playing. She had made Gideon come along to see, what Pacifica called 'classic arts'. Gideon huffed the entire drive, but it didn't bother Pacifica one bit. She was just too excited.

"This is going to be boring, Paz." Gideon said as they pulled into the parking lot. "I'm going to be bored out of my mind!"

"Then sleep, and only listen to the music, it'll help." Pacifica rolled her eyes at her cousin who kept complaining.

Gideon frowned and sunk lower in his seat. Pacifica stared at the stage excitedly and hit her cousin's arm when the lights dim. "It's starting!" She whispered in an excited tone.

Gideon rolled his eyes but eyed the stage warily.

"Welcome one and all to the Reverse Falls Academy of the Arts!" A lady with too much make up said from the stage. "Tonight we will have performers playing and we'll figure out as an audience which one was the best."

"This is what you wanna see?" Gideon hissed. "God I'm going to die of boredom!"

Pacifica hit his arm and turned her gaze back to the stage. The lady walked off the stage and the first contestant came onto the stage. It was a girl with fiery red hair and a pale face. She had a cello with her and Pacifica waited for her to begin playing.

"Was she good or what?" Pacifica asked her cousin once the redhead finished her piece.

Gideon only shrugged. "She was fine."

The lady with too much makeup arrived on the stage again and gave the crowd a fake smile. "Our next contestant will be arriving shortly." She walked off the stage and Pacifica couldn't help but frown. The lady with too much makeup seemed like a huge phony.

Gideon sighed and looked at the clock on the wall. "How much longer till we can leave?" He asked.

Pacifica rolled her eyes, "we'll go after this performer." She whispered and turned her attention back to the stage.

The next contestant appeared on the stage, violin in hand, and Pacifica couldn't help but feel drawn towards his eyes. They were an icy blue color, like they were frozen. He waited a minute before raising his violin to neck before he began to play.

Pacifica felt just as drawn to the music as she was to his eyes. It made her world. . .colorful, instead of bleak. She leaned forward in her seat and watched the colors fill her head with thoughts. She wondered how she had never heard this man play before, she was positive that she had heard every violinist ever.

When he finished his piece, the crowd stood up and applauded so loud that Gideon covered his ears. "Can we go now?" He asked loudly over the music.

Pacifica nodded but she was focused on the spot where the man had been. "But I need to do something first."

"Pacifica, isn't this illegal?!" Gideon hissed as the two of them made their way backstage. "We could go to jail for this! And then my father will kill me!"

"Not if we don't get caught," Pacifica whispered back. "Come on, I need to meet this guy in person!"

They made their way toward the rooms and Pacifica felt her heart swell when she saw the violinist go into a room. She walked over, but right before she could knock on the door, or get close to the door, a brunette beauty walked past her and Pacifica could recognize her anywhere; it was Mabel Gleeful.
