"How did it happen?" Pacifica asked Mabel. "He was fine this morning."

Mabel had bloodshot eyes. "He went out with our great uncles to discuss business and they got into a crash. Ford and Stan are fine with a few stitches, but Dipper. . .he-" she broke off and sighed. "He's in a coma."

Pacifica felt choked. How could this have happened? "How are his uncles fine but he isn't?"

"He was on the side that got hit, so the damage was more severe." Mabel explained, sipping her tea slowly, her voice breaking on the word 'severe'.

"Where is he?" Pacifica demanded.

"Falls Hospital, why?" Mabel wiped a few tears away from her eyes. "You're not going to-"

"I need to see him, at least once." Pacifica pleaded. "This is all my fault."

Mabel looked confused, "how the hell is it your fault?"

"I stopped talking to him for the past couple days, he assumed I was mad at him." Pacifica confessed. "Which I was, and I texted him. He must have been driving or something, because the dots showed up on my phone that indicated that he was and then they stopped. This is all my fault!"

"He's going to be okay." Mabel murmured, "I hope."

But Pacifica did not like the tone of Mabel's voice.

"He's in room two-eleven." A nurse smiled sadly at the girls. "Be careful around him, he's a little out of it."

Pacifica practically ran down the hall, searching for the room he was in. Once she made it to his room, she took a deep breath and opened the door.

Her heart stopped when she saw him. Eyes closed, hair a mess, bandages practically covering his whole body, and medical equipment. He looked almost dead. Which nearly killed Pacifica.

"D-Dipper," she choked out, running to his side. "Dipper why did you go with them? You should have stayed here. . .I'm sorry for everything." She knew there were tears forming in her eyes, but she knew there was no point in trying to stop them.

She sat there in silence for a minute, watching him, eyes soft. She moved the pieces of hair out of his face that she knew would bother him when he woke up.

Pacifica knew he would wake up, no matter what anyone said, he had to. "Dipper please, you can get through this! We've been through so much. . .oh! Remember Weirdmageddon? Remember how we beat that? You can do that. . .just wake up, please."

Dipper's only response was shallow breathing, and only hurt the blonde girl more. Dipper being silent was strange, but knowing why he was silenced was even worse to her. "I love you, Dipper." She murmured, kissing his forehead. "Just promise me this one thing," tears laced her eyes and she let them fall down her face like a waterfall.

"Don't give up~"
